Nestled by the Sandy River on Brightwood Loop Rd, you feel miles away from civilization, but in reality are less than 5 minutes away from HWY 26 near Zig Zag. At mere 20 minutes from Timberline Lodge, you can beat the traffic up the mountain to ski without having to get up too early.
Other Things to Note:
Tankless water heater supplies endless hot water to ensures that everyone can get clean and warm after a day on the mountain. Run 2-3 showers at same time.

It snows here occasionally. Winter on the mountain is unpredictable, chains / shovel for your vehicle are recommended.
Good internet, reasonable cell service. Some GPS / apps will try to send you to the middle of the Sandy River, cross check with the location map!
The Sandy River is COLD, as we are near the glaciers that feed it. It is also fast moving and swimming or wading is recommended to only be done at low flow in the summer.
Please check with local authorities for burn bans and fishing information. Clackamas County regulations allow for 15 guests maximum, if you have a larger group, consider booking 2 adjacent houses on this property.

We loved our stay here. The host responded quickly to any questions I had. The house was clean and beautiful as well as the property. The outdoor space was very nice, had multiple picnic tables. Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful property . We loved thos house. Fully equipped and great location. Eight adults and 5 kids under the age of 2.5 with plenty of space for everyone and peaceful sleeping for all.
First off this property is beautiful. The Host thought of everything. This home had everything me and my family needed for a quality getaway. Mount Hood Meadows was a easy 35-40 minute drive away
There were 5 families with toddlers and kids and every single person loved the stay. We enjoyed the trail walk next to the property along the Sandy river and then the evening bonfire was amazing. The grilling and jacuzzi added the cherry on the top. Michael was very communicative and accommodating. We want to definitely come back again soon for another stay over!
We arrived to find a beautiful home in a fantastic location. We had three families and multiple generations at the house. The house was great and large enough to separate when someone wanted more space from the whole group. The outdoor space with a hot tub and bbq on the deck was fantastic and provided ample seating for private conversation. The walking trail of wood chips to the grassy area, the river and the firepits was inviting and the young kids loved to run around them all. Thank you for the magical oasis for the weekend.
This place was one of the few available that could house 3 families (couples + kids) where ensuites were attached to multiple rooms! The bunk room was perfect for the 4 kids we had there and a special bonus was the living area off the bunk room that gave space for the kids to play while the adults conversed elsewhere. I appreciated there being a broom for easier meal cleanup with kids and the huge fridge was amazing! One thing I was initially worried about was the one-way road down to the 4 properties there, but we never encountered another car at the same time so it worked out great. It was easy to get to off the main highway from Sandy and perfect spot for venturing in and around Mt. Hood!
My husband and I celebrate his 30th birthday during the whole weekend with family and friends. We were 14 people in total and everybody was well accommodated. Having so many bathrooms is ideal for a brig group of people. The owner was super responsive and helpful with any doubts we had during our stay. The surroundings of this property are such a plus. We were able to play to play bocce ball, have a fire while seating on the benches that are around, going for walks around the trails along the river. The house itself is beautiful! The appliances are on the high end, and it comes with a lot of dishes, cups, etc for a big group. 100 points. Highly recommended!
