Nestled in a prime location, this vacation rental offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience for an unforgettable getaway. Featuring four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, each room includes two beds, providing plenty of space for relaxation.

The open-concept kitchen, living, and dining area is designed for easy flow and socializing. While the kitchen is equipped with minimal cookware and silverware, larger groups or guests staying for extended periods are encouraged to bring additional supplies. Ten towels are provided across the bathrooms, so guests staying for more than one night should bring extra towels and washcloths or make use of the in-unit washer and dryer.

Step outside to the back porch, where you’ll find a seasonal pool—a perfect spot to unwind when available. However, please note that the pool is currently undergoing repairs and will not be accessible this season.

For guests traveling with ATVs, this property is a great choice, offering ample parking for up to 8 vehicles plus designated ATV parking. Property can accommodate 3-4 trailers. Stay connected with high-speed internet and a smart TV, catering to both work and entertainment needs.

Adventure awaits just minutes away! Middle Fork Falls and hiking trails are a 4-minute drive, while Windrock Trail Head and the Historic Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary are 13 minutes away. This property shares a gated entrance and exterior common areas with a long-term rental unit. While both units function independently, please be aware that the vacation rental does not offer complete privacy.
The home is located just off the main road and near a gas station, providing easy access to local attractions and amenities. However, guests may experience some noise from passing vehicles.
Pool is under renovation and will not be available for use this season.

Great place to stay. Clean and efficient.

Property is good for several guest. Short distance to Windrock. We have stayed here twice and both times have had great. Only issue we had, there were no kitchen trash bags.

We stayed here to run the Barkley Fall Classic at Frozwen Head State Park. Great location to the park. Clean, easy to access and the AC worked great.

Great property to enjoy windrock park

We enjoyed our stay. Property has good access to Windrock. Gas station next door was convenient. Food and amenities close by. House was nice and roomy and the three full bathrooms is a big plus on these trips.

Awesome location to windrock

Was pretty close to windrock. About a 10 min road ride to the entrance. House was good. Sownt most of our time outside or out on the trails. Would def stay again

Perfect to ride windrock

Gas station right next door easily fuel up and hit the trails for the day. Property was perfect for the family and great communication with any questions. Will be back

The floors were dirty and not mopped. Cob webs were on the head of the bed. Front door is in need of repair and hard to lock. Refrigerator wasn’t working properly and the small fridge isn’t large enough. Beds sheets had hair and dirt particles like they hadn’t been changed. Stayed here several times but will be looking for something else when we return. Not worth the price this time.

Unfortunately, the heating issue occurred just hours after your check-in, and with technicians unavailable due to the Thanksgiving holiday, we provided space heaters to ensure your comfort. Additionally, our listing clearly states that the pool is undergoing renovations, and we advise all guests to exercise caution and avoid that area. Close to Windrock trailhead

We stayed this past weekend. Property was close to Windrock Trailhead. Gas station attached to property to fill up before hitting trails. Plenty of parking for multiple trucks, trailers, rigs, etc. Our only complaint would be the large fridge didn’t seem to cool well (there is a mini fridge also though that did work well), the washing machine didn’t wash or strain properly, and limited cookwear. But good rental for large parties going to Windrock.

Everything was as advertised. Only issues were coffee pot leaks on counter when brewing coffee. Not enough towels and wash cloth’s for 10 people, so bring your own as we did. Last refrigerator doesn’t seem to cool as it should.

Unexpected surprises

As we pull in the location is right off the highway, next to a gas station in the middle of nowhere. As we start to get out, we realize that the owners life 20 feet away, while it was nice if we had issues (we did) they were right there for easy contact, but we did not have the privacy we had hoped for. We walk in and smell a gas leak, they had to turn off our heat for that, which ended up being a cold night. Very little utensils to cook and eat with, no dishwasher, other than that it was a nice home.

Upon being notified of a gas odor, the host promptly arrived on-site with a maintenance crew within 30 minutes to assess the issue. No gas leak was detected inside the unit; however, as a precautionary measure, the gas was turned off at the meter. Since the heating system operates on gas, the host immediately offered guests the option to cancel their stay at that time. Additionally, portable heaters were offered, but the guests declined, stating they were only staying for one night and that temperatures were not cold enough to be a concern. A professional local company was called to inspect the system, and a minor leak was discovered at a joint outside, near the main meter. The issue was promptly repaired Regarding the statement that the owner lives 20 feet away, this is incorrect. As clearly stated in paragraph 5 of the listing description, the other property on the parcel is occupied by a long-term tenant, not the owner. In the listing description, dishwasher is not an offered amenity and basic minimal utensils are offered for short term guests who are here to stay and ride on Windrock. We strive to provide a safe and comfortable experience for all our guests, Thank You for staying at our property.

A place to stay

Location of the house was close to the bike park within 10 minute drive. The house was off a busy road and had somebody living in the back house. It would’ve been nice to know. The pool had stagnant water in it. Inside of house was clean air conditioning worked well And beds were OK. We let the owner know that we would be heading that way and would like to get check-in instructions the day of. He informed us that VRBO would send something however it never happened. We weren’t given instructions until we arrived after several attempts to communicate with the homeowner.

This place is pretty much a dump. Somebody lives in the pool house, literally 20 feet from the back door. The pool is empty and apparently has been for a looooong time. The front door doesn't exactly work. There are spiders everywhere. It's a double wide trailer with a garage converted to a bedroom. The floors were so dirty we wouldn't walk on them without shoes. The doors are filthy. There is no grill or fire pit, no can opener, no cookie sheet, etc. Only two burners work on the stove and although there is a countertop griddle, it only sorta works. The whole house smelled very musty. The smoke detector in the main bedroom was chirping when we arrived, so we ended up removing the battery.There are no trails to the park even though they lead you to believe there is a "back" way in.There is no way to legally get to windrock that we found, and we asked at several places. We had to trailer probably 6 or 7 miles in each day.Now the few good points... The water was hot and the beds were relatively comfortable. The washer and dryer worked well and was welcome after trail riding.

The listing clearly states that there are two buildings on the property, one of which is a long-term rental. This is a permanent house on a solid foundation and is listed as such on all booking platforms. This can also be verified through the Tennessee Property Assessor’s public records. The kitchen is described in the listing as equipped with basic appliances, not a gourmet kitchen. The pool is listed as out of service in the description, so guests are made aware before booking. Smoke detectors chirp when batteries are low, which indicates they are working properly. Unfortunately, it appears the battery ran low during your stay. We encourage all guests to carefully review the property description to ensure it meets their expectations. While we have consistently received positive reviews from past guests, we understand that not every property is the right fit for everyone.
