Cummins Camp se encuentra en el bosque en la orilla del Lago Superior. Las ventanas delanteras ofrecen vistas de un bosque estanque, lago Superior y la ciudad de Marquette en la distancia. Un corto paseo le llevará a millas de playa de arena de azúcar limpia y aguas cristalinas. Patos, gansos, garzas y águilas son visitantes frecuentes.
El centro de Marquette es de 4 millas de distancia. Al final de la calzada es el mineral de hierro Heritage Trail / North Country Scenic Trail. Se conecta a otros sistemas de senderismo y ciclismo de pista en Marquette. Se trata de un sendero no motorizado en el sendero de verano y motos de nieve en el invierno. Marquette montaña (esquí alpino), y varias pistas de esquí de fondo, incluida la red de senderos Noquemanon un radio de 10 millas.

Great Cabin!

This is a great cabin with the perfect location 4 miles from Marquette! The beach is beautiful and quiet - we had a fire and watched the fireworks on the 4th and took walks every morning. My family with 17 and 19 y/o girls had plenty of space - more than we expected. It was 90 but with windows open and fans we slept well. The kitchen is well stocked and the owners provide simple check in and check out instructions. We’ve stayed in 5 different cabins on M28 over the years, and the location, price, space and comfort of this cabin was our favorite. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in town.

We agree with other reviews, the pictures of this property do not do it justice. It is a great location, and our extended family staying in other rentals were all jealous of our beach access and natural beauty. We definitely want to return to stay here when we visit Marquette again!

We had a fabulous stay at Cummins Camp to celebrate NMU graduation. View from living room window even better than pictures! Loved being so close to North Country trail. Will definitely come back!

Superior Vistas!

This was one of our FAVORITE vacation rentals!! The views were spectacular and the inside of the cottage was even nicer than the photos! Lovely artistic touches that made it feel welcoming! The cottage was extremely well equipped and the Hostess, Jean, was fabulous! From Superior Views, Bald Eagles and the Milky Way..our stay was fantastic! This Cozy Cottage was all we could have wanted for a fabulous UP homecoming and more! Can't wait for the chance to return!

Beautiful views of Lake Superior

We rented Cummings Camp for the UP200. The communication with the host, Jean, was excellent. Detailed instructions for arrival and tips on the race! Even thought the dog sled race was cancelled we still had a great time in Marquette!!

First Family Get-a-away

My husband and I rented this place from PA, and had our daughter and son-in-law, and two year old twins join us from Minnesota. We had relatives in the area to visit, and this place worked out perfectly for all of us. The decor was very nice, but we actually put away a lot of the nice things before the twins arrived. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. It was an enjoyable and successful week!

Family Visit

We wanted a long weekend with our son that lives in the area. Beautiful view and owner was great to work with. Part of our visit was to watch the start of the dog sled races and those unfortunately were cancelled. They offered to refund our rental, even though they did not have to. Very much appreciated. Will be looking to return next year.

So cozy and clean

We were there in a major snowstorm. It was delightful watching the snow come in over the lake and feeling warm and safe in the snug little cottage. Very homey - we had everything we needed for a lovely time. Jean, the owner, was delightful to work with. And the cottage is very convenient to shops, restaurants, and grocery stores, yet isolated enough that we did not feel crowded in by neighbors. Right on the shore of the Big Lake, we could see the lights of downtown Marquette twinkling in the distance, and the whitecaps rolling in during the storm. Can't say enough good about this wonderful place!

Perfect Lake Superior Stay!

If you want a spacious cozy location with private beach to enjoy your Lake Superior stay, you've chosen the right place! The photos do not do it justice - the views are stunning - you can literally watch the sun rise and set from the back porch of this cottage. Also, private beach!! That was the best part. This is a safe location for kids - I have a 2yo & 6yo and they were perfectly safe and enjoyed playing with toys in the basement when not at the beach with us. This place also has the best stocked kitchen in ANY vacation rental that we've stayed. Hosts were easy to reach and very informative. Beds cozy, windows with pull-down shades since it doesn't get completely dark unti 11PM in the summer - so that was a big perk! We absolutely loved it here and can't wait to stay again when next in the UP!

Comfort. From a well-stocked kitchen capable of handling Thanksgiving to a heated bathroom floor and toasty fireplace, the Cummins' Cabin makes being away from home for the holidays a revelation. View. As you enter through the back door and kick off your boots, you are completely unaware of what is around the corner - a wall of windows taking in the ever expansive Lake Superior. Location. Quick access to an endless sandy beach. Quick access to an endless rails-to-trails bike path. Quick access to endless restaurants and shopping in downtown Marquette. Perfect. Amazing location and great lodging. We enjoyed our stay very much. Home is full of local art, books, and was stocked well with all the essentials. We all loved this cozy cabin! Comforts of home with Lake Superior an awesome little “swimming hole.” Bikes, beach walks, swims, naps and hikes all right in front of you. Easy 10-min trip to Marquette. Owner nothing but helpful.

Perfect Marquette Sanctuary

This was one of the cleanest and best-equipped properties we have ever stayed at. The location is perfect; just out of town with private beach access that cannot be beaten. It was so quiet at night that I didn't even have to wear my earplugs (light sleeper). All of the beautiful, artistic touches in every space of the home were a delight. Pictures of the space in the listing do not do it justice, this is certainly a hidden gem and we plan to return!
