The house was perfect to share with friends on our vacation to Bayfield. It was fully stocked with everything we needed. The views were spectacular, it was a tad bit early for the colors but the weather was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. I mentioned to the owner that I would add a TV to the main level of the house.

Shady Pines Retreat

Shady Pines is a private and peaceful setting with beautiful views of Lake Superior. The house was immaculately clean and nicely appointed. The host provided clear and accurate instructions for our arrival and answered all our questions promptly. It is the perfect place to enjoy Bayfield and the Apostle Islands. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Gorgeous fall getaway

We loved this property for its location and space. We started every morning with coffee on the deck, looking at the beautiful leaves and Lake Superior. The kitchen had everything we needed, with modern appliances and plenty of room for the things we bought. It was great to have so many places to hang out, including a screened in porch, living room and basement. The beds were comfortable and towels were soft. Kevin was very responsive, answering my questions and providing restaurant and hiking recommendations. It's only a 5 minute drive away from Bayfield and access to boat tours and great restaurants. This place and host are terrific!

I reside 1.5 hours away but make every effort to visit Washburn/Bayfield frequently even before we owned the cabin. My wife and I, married for over six years, are parents to two toddlers aged two and four.
We fell in love with this cabin and the Valhalla Valley views.

With a background in sales, we ventured into hosting after acquiring this cabin. So far, it has been a rewarding journey, filled with wonderful interactions with our guests as well as some amazing personal experiences.

We adore Lake Superior and the opportunities it provides for outdoor activities!!
Our family has cherished countless wonderful memories in this area that started even before we owned this cabin.
Being avid fans of the outdoors, this cabin serves as our ideal family retreat, allowing us to unwind and immerse ourselves in nature.
