We had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the entire experience. The home was exceptionally spacious, providing more than enough room for our family to relax and sleep comfortably. The game room and hot tub were definite highlights and added a lot of enjoyment to our time there. The peaceful scenery created a very relaxing atmosphere, and we especially enjoyed spending time around the fire pit. Gary & Megan were excellent hosts very responsive, accommodating, and attentive to any questions we had.Thank you again for such a memorable stay. We would absolutely recommend this property and believe it truly deserves a 5-star rating.
This place was fantastic! Love the game room and the big bedrooms. Will definitely stay here again.

Our group of six stayed October 17–20 while visiting the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. As frequent vacation rental guests, we expected a much better experience.Upon arrival, trash cans were overturned and overflowing, with garbage scattered into the ditch. The advertised barbecue grill was rusted, broken, and unusable. We notified the host immediately, yet no replacement or alternative was provided for the grill. We were to keep the trash inside not at the trash cans. To grill steaks Monday evening, we purchased a camping grate at Walmart to cook over the fire pit—an unnecessary expense that could have been addressed by the owner or property manager.Inside, housekeeping was clearly incomplete. Bathrooms lacked basic supplies, towels were left in the dryer, and the home is in need of a deep clean of cabinets, windows, trim, tile et. There were dead insects inside the main home and spiderwebs in the garage game room. Outdoor furniture and landscaping also needed attention. Most concerning, smoke alarms were missing from the living room and primary bedroom ceilings, with two detached alarms found in a kitchen drawer.Despite promptly reporting our initial concerns, the trash was not addressed until late Monday afternoon, nearly 48 hours after check-in. The host is responsive in text but not in resolving concerns or issues which is why we didn’t notify him Sunday night of the 2 smoke alarms appear
The home is large, full of light, and has great amenities. We enjoyed the game room, and our party of five had more than enough room to dine, watch movies together, and relax. Highly recommend.
Don’t let the seemingly remote location of this Kentucky gem keep you from giving it a try! We chose this listing fairly last minute and I am glad we did. Came into town for the PGA and regardless of the GPS saying is was 45 min from Valhalla if was closer to 30 even with traffic (lead foot). The house was far more than what we needed but it was wonderful. Perfect for a decently sized group or family. Plenty to do and the pictures do not do this property justice. If you are on the fence for a place to stay for either Louisville or Lexington do not hesitate!!
This place is HUGE and has a really big yard all around the house! Very safe for the kids to play outside. The game room is MASSIVE and has so many games for everyone to play at the same time! Our family of 12 had plenty of room to relax, play and sleep. The hot tub was just what we needed after walking the Cincinnati Zoo, the Ark, and the Creation Museum. Some of us visited the wineries and Distilleries, and some went hiking to see waterfalls. The owners were very friendly and responded quickly! The house is fully stocked and they thought of everything! We are rested and had a WONDERFUL time staying here and I highly recommend this house!

Bagdad Stay
The fridge and freezer did not work for our entire stay. We lost 3 pans of food that we premade because they couldn’t stay cold in the fridge. The water faucets in each bathroom constantly shot over the edge of the sink. Multiple lightbulbs were out. The living room curtains fell out of the wall without any one touching them due to the anchors not being installed into a wall stud properly. We will be asking for a refund.
Our check‑in was pushed back by 30 minutes due to the cleaner needing more time, and even after that delay the cleaner had to return to re-clean. It was clear the home hadn’t received a proper deep clean before our arrival — we found food under the couch and under the entertainment center, the game room/garage was dirty, and there were spider webs inside the main house. All the air inlets for the ac were full of dust. The house itself is gorgeous, and the location is genuinely convenient, so we did enjoy being there. But the cleanliness issues definitely affected our vacation mindset and overall experience. Because of that, I can’t give a full 5 stars.
