Juniper Vista is located on an acre of land in the desirable Cima Norte (North Hills) district of Santa Fe. The historic plaza is an easy one-mile walk downhill from the house. We provide 2,800 square feet of gracious living on two levels. There are three separate sleeping areas: an Upstairs Master Suite, a Downstairs Master Suite and a third downstairs bedroom. Each has its own full bath. Both Master Suites have their own kiva fireplaces and sitting areas.
The main floor of the house has a sunken living room with a kiva fireplace and a 48' HDTV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a formal dining area. Adjacent to the dining area is a breakfast alcove for informal meals. The two dining areas share a kiva fireplace. The alcove has french doors that open to the patio and the private enclosed gardens. The Upstairs Master Suite has a private deck with spectacular views to the East, South, and West.
Santa Fe is situated at an altitude of 7,000 feet on the side of the Rio Grande valley. To the east are the Sangre de Cristo mountains rising to over 13,000 feet. To the south are the Ortiz Mountains, the Galisteo Basin, and Sandia Peak which overlooks Albuquerque. To the West one can view the Jemez Mountains which rise to over 12,000 feet. The house has a wonderful 300 degree view of these mountain ranges from the deck off the Upstairs Master Suite. All of Santa Fe's museums, the Canyon Road galleries, and the Santa Fe Opera are within 5-10 minutes drive of the house. The Santa Fe Ski Basin is 17 miles to the east. Taos is 75 miles north. There are many activities for all nearby including fine dining in world class restaurants, visiting the areas many museums, shopping and gallery hopping, and exploration of the area's Hispanic and Native American heritage.
In summer Santa Fe temperatures range from the mid 80's and low 90's during the day to the upper 50's and 60's at night with very low humidity. The weather is almost always sunny with an occasional thunderstorm in late summer. This is a perfect climate to enjoy both the private walled garden with its birds, fountain, and sculptures, and the spectacular views from the upper level. In winter Santa Fe's climate has cold nights in the teen's and 20's alternating with dry sunny days in the 40's and 50's.
We have created a web page, JuniperVista dot com, for our home. It has many additional pictures and lots of information about vacationing in Santa Fe.
Warning: although we do not accept pets the house is occasionally occupied by our cat.
Our City of Santa Fe Short Term Rental Permit is current.

About David & Sharon
We are a semi-retired couple who split their lives between the hectic excitement of New York City and the peace and beauty of our home in Santa Fe.
David & Sharon purchased this House in 1989
Why David & Sharon chose Northeast
Santa Fe has been the capitol of New Mexico for over 400 years. It has a rich tradition of superb food, art, music, and native american and hispanic culture. We also love the climate and the mountains. Our home is close to the center of Santa Fe while still offering privacy, beauty, and quiet.
What makes this House unique
We adore our private garden with its multitude of birds, trees, and flowers. The views of the surrounding mountains are spectacular. And all this is only 5 minutes from the Historic Plaza of downtown Santa Fe.

Very nice and well-equipped. Convenient the Plaza and the ski/snow areas.
Great for families and very comfortable.
Spacious and well equipped Santa Fe home.
We truly enjoyed this quite and adorable mountain home. Loved the garden and seating areas. The sunsets from the garden are breathtaking. Without hesitation we would rent this lovely home again.
A week at Juniper Vista
I had a feeling I picked the ideal residence for our first trip ever to Santa Fe and I did. Sharon was great in her prompt replies to any inquiry I had. Great layout, great property. Convenient to center of town (5minutes). Kitchen was a delight to work in. Dining Room held all of us most comfortably. The second floor was a home unto itself. Quiet, roomy, private. The BEST VRBO experience to date. Juniper Vista was a major factor making this trip a trip full of great memories to reflect on.
Great space for a family celebration
Location was perfect. Nice indoor and outdoor spaces. Very well equipped kitchen, even though we ate out most of the time. Upstairs suite was lovely space with great views. Would recommend it to anyone making the trek to Santa Fe. A few housekeeping issues will be raised with the owners.
Perfect house, perfect comfort, perfectly equipped, perfect 360 degree views, perfect location.
Perfect tenants! We would be happy for you to return and stay at our home any time. Thank you so much for your review. Please come back. Sharon and David
I was with two girlfriends for a few days of exploring Santa Fe and this was a perfect house for us! We each had our own bedroom and bath, so could have a bit of 'space' at the end of each day. . . .were able to have breakfast before we started each day and a cozy place to sit and visit each evening. All in all the perfect home away from home!!
