Thank you for trying this new property. I realize picking a place with no reviews is risky. Great reviews are appreciated.

Spacious, clean property. Private location. Comfortable beds and furniture. This nicely appointed cabin with its rustic charm was the perfect retreat for our Thanksgiving holiday. We would definitely book this property again. Owner was easy to work with.

The cabin is wonderful! The photos don’t do the property justice and you’ll be very pleased upon arrival. The back deck has great dusk, dawn and overnight sounds, including turkeys, owls, loons, all sorts of other birds, and out of our 4 night stay I heard coyotes 1 night. The host was very helpful in my time of need despite his family being on a very important trip out of town. If you’re not quite familiar with Lake Gaston/Roanoke River, make sure you understand the cabin’s proximity to the water and get a better idea of what to expect.

The house was amazing! We loved being able to go down to a boat ramp 8 minutes away and bring our boat back to the dock of the house. I cannot brag on this stay enough. The only thing we would ever suggest adding is tie-ons for boats at the dock. We tied off to the surrounding trees.

The home was very nice and clean. I will say that the water was far from the house with little to no visability of the waterfront from the house. The pathway to the very small dock was not cleared well. But we made the best of it and it was a nice weelend.

Beautiful and family-friendly house

The house and area is beautiful! We enjoyed our mini vacation. There was plenty of room to relax, the kitchen had all the tools and supplies needed, and the towels and sheets were provided - all bonus points in my book! We enjoyed the board and card games too. Currently the area is very private, it's unfortunate that the area appears to be under development and will be populated more heavily in the future (again nothing the homeowner is in control of, just the nature of housing developments). Beware of snakes and keep your dogs leashed. Unfortunately our pup got bit by a copperhead during our stay (of course no fault of house or owner!). La Crosse Animal Hospital was great in helping us on the spot.

Absolutely Perfect Cabin Getaway!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful cabin! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how stunning and well-maintained everything was. The cabin is even more beautiful in person than in the photos; cozy, spacious, and full of rustic charm with modern touches. Every detail felt thoughtful, from the comfortable furnishings to the fully stocked kitchen and spotless amenities.Waking up to the peaceful views from the deck was unforgettable. Whether we were enjoying our coffee outside or relaxing by the fireplace at night, the atmosphere was pure tranquility. It felt secluded and private, yet conveniently close to everything we needed. Our host was also fantastic—very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. You can tell they genuinely care about creating a great experience for their guests. We’re already planning our next trip back. If you’re looking for a dreamy cabin escape, this is it!
