Este lugar es impresionante! Hay mucho para ver y explorar en esta propiedad privada de 13 acres. Esta casa hecha a mano es única en su clase. Sal por la puerta principal y obtendrás la sensación de un país occidental de los años cincuenta. Salir por la otra puerta y se siente como si estuvieras en un resort. Una vez que se utiliza como una granja familiar, hay graneros, gallineros y muchos otros edificios para explorar en esta propiedad. Esta casa con encanto del viejo mundo cuenta con 3 dormitorios, 1 baño en la planta superior, con fantásticas vistas desde todas las ventanas. Disfrute de la suite privada en la planta baja con 1 cama king y 1 sofá cama y baño. La gran suite de la casa de la piscina tiene capacidad para 6 personas y cuenta con 1 cama queen, 1 sofá cama y una cama alta loft y baño. Justo por la puerta está el spa y la piscina con vista a las postales desde la Cabana. Sala de estar y comedor al aire libre en una de nuestras 3 cubiertas. Disfrute de nuestra sala de picnic / barbacoa con mosquitero al aire libre sin insectos mientras come sus comidas. Entorno de playa justo al lado de un pintoresco estanque con enormes rocas de granito que lo rodean. Haga una caminata por el puente y suba por uno de los senderos para encontrar impresionantes vistas de las grandes montañas de Sierra. La localidad de Mariposa está a solo 11,2 km. Corto trayecto de 40 millas a las cataratas del valle de Yosemite. Julio de 2012 es la primera vez que se alquila esta casa de vacaciones fuera de nuestra familia y amigos cercanos. Este lugar es tan hermoso que queremos compartirlo con todos. Hay mucho que ver y hacer en la propiedad. Antiguos graneros y edificios para explorar. Es verdaderamente una propiedad única y creemos que su familia siempre recordará esta casa de vacaciones.

Family Vacation

This was by far one of the better VRBOs we've stayed at. The house has everything you could possibly need for cooking family meals. There were 10 of us from ages 11 to 70 and we all thoroughly enjoyed the property. The hiking paths around the property were nice, the pool was great and the wildlife around the property was awesome to watch. The location is just 10 minutes outside of Mariposa and 45 minutes from Yosemite. I have already recommended this house to other friends. Plenty of space to not feel crowded - totally worth it.

Amazing property!!!

I took my graduating Girl Scout troop to Yosemite as a big send off. We’re from Ohio and had never been to the area. This property was everything promised in the listing and more! We had so much fun swimming, hot tubing, relaxing by the pond and hiking! We saw lots of wildlife too. The house is about an hour from Yosemite Valley and a great location for a base camp. Grocery store and gas were not too far either. Everything was perfect and we would definitely return!

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay, it surpassed our expectations, everything we needed was readily accessible. Kids had plenty to do from exploring the pond, using the trails, swimming and even an arcade. We would definitely return. We absolutely loved our stay here, and appreciated the effort put into this property to make everything a breeze. Huge Deer and fawns cautiously make their commutes through the property every morning from approximately 830-930. It’s location it’s great for both North and South Yosemite entrances (45 min each way). Night skies are spectacular.

Its like your own little resort

It was wonderful. So much space for everyone to spread out and space for everyone to get together. The kitchen is spacious and equiped with everything you could want. It so clean and organized. The pool and Jacuzi wers perfect. Its about 1 hour outside of Yosemite. Thank you so much.

Family getaway

Amazing long weekend at the property with our 4.5 and 1.5 year old boys. We had no reason to leave - between the hot tub, pool, creek, pirate ship with water cannon, and endless rocks for throwing, the whole family had a great time. Thanks for the hospitality!

Amazing property for a family vacation

This place was perfect for my family that consisted of 5 kids (ages 7-14) and 8 adults. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, horseshoe game, pond, and trail on the property. We also enjoyed meals/games in the kitchen and admired the beautiful views from the deck. The drive to Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove was about 1 hour, which we didn’t mind. I would absolutely rent this property again and will be recommending it to my friends. My family and I absolutely loved it! Jeff made renting this property easy and was very responsive. Thanks Jeff!!!

All in one vacation

Our family planned a trip to Yosemite and this place seemed close enough to make the trip easy. Big mistake. We did not want to leave this house and property. There is a pool and hot tub, hiking trails, buildings to explore, a lake, a tree house with stunning views, deer that come drink from the lake. We had coffee every morning just staring out in awe of the beautiful surroundings. Wine in the evenings after a game of kickball and visiting the Sequoias or the waterfalls. The house is beautiful. Even the door handles are something special. Everything was provided and thought of. There was absolutely no need to bother the owner since there were labels everywhere to let you know what to do. I can't wait to visit this place again. Thank you so much Jeff, for making this place available for us. There was no stress and we felt our family get closer here. Thank you.

Best family vacation ever!

For the range of ages of our family (4 -74), we discovered the perfect family-style environment. Everyone had their own bed (very important); the kitchen was opened and well suited for each “Committee” to either cook or clean up; there was more than enough places to eat including in and outdoors. The property has so much to offer from horse shoes, hiking trails, tree house, swimming, hot tub. Groceries we’re all found in the local supermarket (approximately 15 miles away). Yosemite National Park and the surrounding areas were a major draw for our family. While my husband and I had been there before, we were successful in introducing them to a real “Slice of Heaven”! We are so grateful to Jeff, our host, for supporting our questions and giving us guidance from the beginning. Thank you Jeff for sharing this treasure with our family. We are all about creating memories together and you helped us realize that success!

2 families stayed here- an amazing time! Views were stunning, cup of tea overlooking the pond was ideal in the morning. Pirate ship and pool with a view were a hit. Some small hikes around the property- spotted deer, turtle many squirrels & a fox. Would love to return! Thank you

Family Getaway

This was a great home for our family get away. The property is gorgeous and everyone (ages 7-55) had a wonderful time. We all enjoyed the expansive deck, pool, and hot tub. It was a great home to come back to after a long day in Yosemite. We would definitely stay here again.

Live in the wild

Perfect place to immerse into the wild. Very spacious bedrooms to sleep. Deck is the real Highlight along with the treehouse for a sunrise view. Few suggestions to the manager: Install security cameras. It is an isolated place and security is very important Poolside bedroom doesn’t have a door lock. Not safe to leave bags there when we step out Dishwasher is a must. Supersized it was not there in the kitchen

Wonderful Family Vacation Spot

We really enjoyed the property and all the little touches to make it family and group friendly. Note to future visitors that there are a lot of things already in the kitchen like salt, pepper, plastic bags, etc, so check before you shop. I would highly recommend the property. Jeff was also very responsive to questions and needs during or stay.

An Amazing Property

We feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to stay at this unique and awesome property. The kids (ages 4-14) all loved it and stayed outdoors the entire time playing, biking, hiking, swimming, exploring the barns, playing horseshoes, swimming, and of course hanging out in the pirate ship. They even went on night walks to stargaze at the treehouse. The house was very, very clean and comfortable. The outdoor decks were amazing, I loved drinking my coffee on top of the rock looking over the pond. The screened in porch with grill (with fan) and picnic table was fantastic too. We highly recommend this house and property!

Everything you need on-site!

We had an amazing vacation at Jeff's property, and are already planning our return visit. The vacation home had incredible variety; our kids rotated from the pool, to the pirate ship, to the badminton court, to the arcade. Jeff had thoughtful touches throughout the property - umbrellas for shade, reclining chairs and resting nooks, and well marked paths. Jeff was extremely accessible and helpful, and answered our questions promptly and generously We highly recommend Jeff's home to anyone wanting time in a gorgeous setting with a twist of fun and play.

Never left the property!

So much to see and do on this property. We saw deer every day. Foxes twice. Wild turkeys. And the resident turtle in the pond. We set up a scavenger hunt for the two kids. They had so much fun looking for clues around this massive property. The water cannon was so much fun! The kids spent endless hours on the pirate ship. Massive deck space and spots to sit and relax. Nice pool and hot tub. Don't miss the treehouse. Fun for adults and kids. We saw a full moon rise. Best view of stars and the night sky. Better than expected. We'll be back!

Best place we’ve ever stayed

For our situation this was the best place we’ve stayed. We have two families with kids ranging from 8-21 (maybe not kids). And this place has something for everyone. The descriptions and pics are spot on but even better than described. Everything was clean and in working order. So many things to explore and do we almost didn’t need to go to Yosemite during the day. Thanks for sharing this awesome place.

Unique property and perfect family getaway with kids

We would not hesitate to recommend this unique and wonderful property. The kids loved the boulders, the waterfall, the pond stocked with fish, the visiting deer and squirrels, and of course, the pirate ship - complete with pirate and parrot skeletons, stocked treasure chest and water cannon that sprayed water about 300 feet. The pool house comes with an arcade game (pacman?) and the kids loved hanging out in the loft overlooking the pool and the pond. There were so many thoughtful details. The "treehouse" had camping chairs and an umbrella to provide shade. The bbq area is enclosed with refrigerator, sink and picnic table so you can enjoy bug-free meals. The kitchen is well-stocked with pans, cutlery, etc - all in good condition. The house was well-stocked with board games, badminton (no net) and horse shoes. The property is fenced and the trails are clear and well-marked so we let the kids explore. We followed the advice of another guest and created a scavenger hunt around the property for the kids. The property has many separate spaces so everyone could spread out and find peace and quiet if they wanted to have some time to themselves. The fans and air conditioning kept the house cool and there were light breezes in the afternoons on the deck so we were comfortable despite temperatures in the 90s. The kids enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Wifi was fine and we could do 2 sometimes 3 video calls at the same time upstairs in the main house. I was able to do a video call on the deck. Jeff patiently answered all of our questions and was very responsive. He went out of his way to try to accommodate us. Thanks Jeff - it was a wonderful stay

Great family get away

We had a great time! The place was nice and clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of cups, plates, cook wear, plastic baggies. As well as some spices and cooking oil. The bedrooms were clean and had nice bedding. The laundry baskets in each room were great especially picking up after 3 kids. There was plenty of room for everyone to have personal space. 5 adults and my 8, 6 and 2 year old. The window AC units worked great, we were all nice and cool inside on a 90*+ day. The pool and hot tub were great as well as the deck surrounding them. We spent a lot of time hanging out there. The pirate ship and water cannon were super fun, the kids LOVED IT! There were deer in the yard multiple times every day and tons of squirrels, lizards, hawks and other birds. Make sure to bring tennis shoes I forgot and only brought flip flops so I didn't go hiking. Everyone else said the treehouse was pretty cool. A great place for families and large groups. It was really nice that there weren't too many things for my 2 year old to get into or break. We only moved the cleaners and soap out from under the kitchen sink and let him loose. Other reviews said wifi was an issue, but it worked fine everywhere except inside the pool house. The owner Jeff was super quick to respond to all questions I had. We will definitely stay here again!

An escape of its own!

Chose this lovely property as a jumping off point for Yosemite for three familes kids ages 11-7. Everyone throughly enjoyed the home and property. One of the best stocked kitchens I have ever had at a vrbo. Beds were comfortable, pool was an awesome amenity. It was easy to take a day and just hang out at the property instead of going into Yosemite. So much to do, parents take the time to walk around the property and outbuildings and make a scavenger hunt for the kids, plenty of quirky and interesting things to find in the outbuildings and on the property. Our kids spent an hour scavenger hunting. Owner was very responsive to questions before and during our stay. House was clean and well appointed, nice to have washer and dryer there, didn't have to pack as much. Highly recommend this home.

One of my best friends bought a property in the Sierra 20 years ago and introduced me to the Yosemite area. On my very first visit, I was absolutely in awe of the beauty of this region and knew that I wanted to have a vacation home for my family to enjoy as well. Since then we have had both family and friends come up to our home to enjoy and make memories of their own. The house is just 7 miles from the mining town of Mariposa and just 40 miles to Yosemite Valley.
