Great location and stay

This is a clean, well stocked home, with historic type furnishings so a lovely choice for Old Alexandria. Host is very responsive and helpful. Would choose this hone again if we visit in the future.

Roomy historic home with an unbeatable location

This home was a great property for our family of five. The location is exceptional if you are traveling by Amtrak or want to take the Metro around DC. The house was amazingly clean, well maintained, and roomy with beautiful original, historic details.

Perfect location

My dad and I really enjoyed the location on King Street - a short walk to many restaurants and bars and the Metro. The bedroom by King Street was a bit loud, but the other two rooms were not. A great place from which to explore Old Town Alexandria.

Exactly as listed. Old Town close to King St Metro. Well maintained historic townhouse with clear instructions and the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Responsive and friendly hosts.

Perfect DC stay

We had a great experience staying at this property for our spring break trip to DC! Super easy access to the metro, even for my little kids. Great to be so close to the heart of Alexandria. Nice playground nearby. Easy walk to Whole Foods. The house was spacious and as pictured. Highly recommend!

Great location nice house

Our family (myself, husband, and kids ages 13, 10, 8, 5, & 3) came to visit DC for a few days. This house fit us well and was a really short 2 block walk to the metro. There is also a rec center/school a block away with playgrounds, a big soccer field and basketball which was great to let the kids run around when we had time.

Excellent location close to Old Town and Metro. Property could use some updates as bathroom walls had very large cracks with peeling paint. Extremely noisy main bedroom (train whistles and road noise) due to thin drafty windows. Bowl of ear plugs provided by owner in main bedroom so this is a known issue. Entry key pad could use replacement as difficult to enter. Very cozy main living room. Nice large dining table for meals and games. Convenient to many shops and restaurants.

The location, historic charm, clean and comfortable beds were the positives. Historic charm but amenities accompany the home. Bathrooms are small with limited shelves to put toiletries. The kitchen was stocked but could use more bowls, rubber spatula, air fryer. The AC did not keep up with the extreme heat wave during our stay. Cooking in the kitchen made it worse, warming the entire home then the AC was not able to recover. The home was 77 degrees when we arrived and 82 degrees when we left dispite thermostat set at 73.The only rooms with AC vents were the living room, dinning room and two smaller bedrooms. The large bedroom, kitchen and two bathrooms did not have AC. The large bedroom has a large dehumidifier that the host said was a portable AC unit. Reducing the humidity does help the comfort level but does not reduce the air temperature. The house was too warm except the two small bedrooms but they were comfortably cooled only if you kept the doors closed! It was too hot outside to do everything we had planned for our trip so we spent more time at the house than planned and it was not a relaxing retreat from the heat. The host communication prior to the trip was good Welcome message the night before check-in and the thank you message prior to departure was the only communication during the stay. I reached out during our stay with a concern with AC not keeping up and that we were going to run out of toilet paper but I got no response from the host. .
