The epicenter of walking to everything

  • 4 of 5

We loved our time in Patrizia's flat. We walked 30+ miles in every direction to see all the sites. This street has restaurants (across the street our fave) and local bars close by. Patrizia also helped secure drivers too and from the airport. There is some late-night street noise from local establishments, but we were able to sleep. We felt safe in this flat.

Great location, comfortable apartment

  • 5 of 5

Ashley A. provides a perfect description as do the other reviewers in their details therefore, I will not repeat. The apartment is exactly as shown and as a family of four we had a wonderful stay. The beds were comfortable with quality linens. Patrizia was easy to deal with and very responsive. We loved being so close to everything and enjoyed our stay. Use Google maps for quick routes -- as the Vatican is a 20 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants in the area. We only went to restaurants which were frequented by Italians and therefore, were never disappointed.

Perfect location, comfortable space

  • 5 of 5

Three friends and I spent 4 nights at Patrizia's property and absolutely loved it. The apartment could not be in a better location. We were within a 5 minute walk of Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori, a 15 minute walk of the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, and about a 20 minute stroll to the Colosseum/Forum, the Vatican, and the Spanish steps. Basically we could cover the entire city on foot. This isn't even mentioning that the street the apartment is located on is full of restaurants and shops. Be sure to stop across the street (just steps away) at Mimi e Coco for food or just for a drink and down the road at the Frigidarium, an amazing gelato place that always has a line but is worth the wait (also the cheapest gelato we had the entire trip).

The apartment itself is lovely, just as pictured. It is located on the ground floor (after lugging our bags up 6 floors in Florence, we were very happy about this). On the main floor is a small living room with a table and 4 chairs as well as a small, but functional, kitchen. Upstairs is a nice big bathroom and two bedrooms (1 queen and 2 single beds). There are also 3 couches: one in the living room, one upstairs on the landing, and another in the master bedroom. The master bedroom has windows facing the main street but they have double sets of windows (like a window behind a window behind shutters) and block out any street noise.

You can tell that Patrizia has been doing this for a while. She answered all of our questions, before we could even ask them, as she showed us around the place. She provides towels/linens/other essentials as well as a hairdryer, umbrellas, maps, travel books, a flashlight, extra outlet adapters, etc. So many little things that just add up to a job well done. She also has a great website that you should check out if only for her (many great) restaurant recommendations.

I absolutely recommend this property. It's perfect for families, two couples, or a few good friends like in my situation.

We stayed here with our two children last summer- the location is divine and the apartment is adorable and very homey. The cafe right outside the front door of the building, Mimi e Coco is amazing and has a very kind staff.

Patrizia was delightful to work with and the building was very safe and had air-conditioning in the two bedrooms.

Would definitely stay here again!!!!

Comfortable apartment, amazing location

  • 5 of 5

My family of four spent five days in this apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment itself is lovely, in a very historic building which was clean and well maintained. The downstairs living room and kitchen are small, but an added bonus compared to any standard and impersonal hotel room. The upstairs bedrooms and bathroom were much larger and more comfortable. Appliances, heat, shower, beds were all good. The Internet can easily handle multiple devices, but the connection was weak and unreliable in the master bedroom. It worked well in all other locations of the apartment. The best thing about the apartment is the location. The apartment is located on Via Del Governo Vecchio surrounded by numerous restaurants, bars, gelato and little shops that were absolutely fantastic. The apartment is literally a 2 minute walk to Piazza Navona, 4 minute walk to Campo de Fiore, less than 10 minute walk to the Pantheon and 15 minute walk to Trevi Fountain. The Vatican and Colosseum are a little further but still very walkable which, of course, is the best way to explore Rome and all of its historic piazzas, monuments and sights. You could not find a better location to stay in the Centro Storico. Access to the apartment was easily arranged upon arrival and I would highly recommend taking advantage of the transportation that the owner, Patrizia can arrange. The driver was friendly, courteous and waiting for us upon arrival with a sign right outside baggage claim at the airport. He dropped us off right at the door to the apartment where Patrizia was waiting to welcome and orient us to the apartment. The communication with Patrizia was excellent and she is a wonderful host. She was always prompt, courteous and very helpful. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in a comfortable, clean and perfectly located apartment in Rome. Well worth the price!
