The apartment was in a great location and very comfortable. One note is that it is directly above a marijuana store that blasts musics until late at night. Otherwise, a fantastic experience.
Hi Jennifer, thanks for your review. I am very sorry if the underlying stores have kept the volume of music loud and disturbing you, I will immediately provide a complaint to the managers. As for the shop that you say sells mariujana I assure you that it is legal herbs and is more at the level of herbal medicine than anything else.
Great Location in Rome
My family of four (children ages 8 and 10) loved this apartment. Patricia arranged a driver from the airport, which made getting there and checking in a breeze. She gave us a thorough orientation.
The location of the apartment can't be beat. The street is charming and has several good restaurants/bars on the block. Piazza Navona is a block away. We walked to the Vatican, Coliseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc. All are within 20 minutes walking. If you don't want to walk, there is a taxi stand very closeby. A Carrefour grocery store is a block or two away, as well as at least two gelato places and many shops.
The apartment is not fancy, but is well-equipped and comfortable. The kids loved their bedroom with twin beds and the master was comfortable. We had fantastic stay.
2 issues to consider:
1. If you are sensitive to noise, the master bedroom faces the street and can be loud at night. We used a white-noise phone app and were fine.
2. The stairs are steep and could be precarious for small children.
I highly recommend this for a family stay.
The epicenter of walking to everything
We loved our time in Patrizia's flat. We walked 30+ miles in every direction to see all the sites. This street has restaurants (across the street our fave) and local bars close by. Patrizia also helped secure drivers too and from the airport. There is some late-night street noise from local establishments, but we were able to sleep. We felt safe in this flat.
great apartment in great location and even better than pictures.
the apartment was so nice and clean. more spacious than we expected. very comfortable. the area was just where we wanted in ancient rome. Patrizia Fabri made it easy to book and check in. the price was excellent. will definitely stay here again and will recommend to my travelling friends./
Thank you very much. I hope to have you my guest again
Great location, comfortable apartment
Ashley A. provides a perfect description as do the other reviewers in their details therefore, I will not repeat. The apartment is exactly as shown and as a family of four we had a wonderful stay. The beds were comfortable with quality linens. Patrizia was easy to deal with and very responsive. We loved being so close to everything and enjoyed our stay. Use Google maps for quick routes -- as the Vatican is a 20 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants in the area. We only went to restaurants which were frequented by Italians and therefore, were never disappointed.
Perfect location, comfortable space
Three friends and I spent 4 nights at Patrizia's property and absolutely loved it. The apartment could not be in a better location. We were within a 5 minute walk of Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori, a 15 minute walk of the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, and about a 20 minute stroll to the Colosseum/Forum, the Vatican, and the Spanish steps. Basically we could cover the entire city on foot. This isn't even mentioning that the street the apartment is located on is full of restaurants and shops. Be sure to stop across the street (just steps away) at Mimi e Coco for food or just for a drink and down the road at the Frigidarium, an amazing gelato place that always has a line but is worth the wait (also the cheapest gelato we had the entire trip).
The apartment itself is lovely, just as pictured. It is located on the ground floor (after lugging our bags up 6 floors in Florence, we were very happy about this). On the main floor is a small living room with a table and 4 chairs as well as a small, but functional, kitchen. Upstairs is a nice big bathroom and two bedrooms (1 queen and 2 single beds). There are also 3 couches: one in the living room, one upstairs on the landing, and another in the master bedroom. The master bedroom has windows facing the main street but they have double sets of windows (like a window behind a window behind shutters) and block out any street noise.
You can tell that Patrizia has been doing this for a while. She answered all of our questions, before we could even ask them, as she showed us around the place. She provides towels/linens/other essentials as well as a hairdryer, umbrellas, maps, travel books, a flashlight, extra outlet adapters, etc. So many little things that just add up to a job well done. She also has a great website that you should check out if only for her (many great) restaurant recommendations.
I absolutely recommend this property. It's perfect for families, two couples, or a few good friends like in my situation.
