POOL

Our "pool" is a smaller 5' pill shaped "cowboy tub" pool that you fill on-demand for your stay. It's a great photo-op and a wonderful way to cool off!

Getting Around:

You will need a car, but ride-shares/taxis are available to get you back and forth from Pappy's.

Fenced yard: Not fully fenced

Outdoor Surveillance: There's a camera facing front door and driveway.

Paved Roads/Dirt Roads: No dirt roads

Cell phone coverage: NO cellphone coverage



◦ Wildlife: this is the rural desert and we share the space with the wildlife. You may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, or if you’re lucky a bobcat.



◦ RULES:

Noise ordinance:

Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No external speakers allowed. Any noise related discrepancies will result in at least a $1000 fine.



◦ SMOKING POLICY

No smoking inside the house or within 10ft. Smoke residue will result in excessive cleaning fees



◦ Restricted Areas:

Any locked closet or room is restricted. If forcibly entered you could be held liable for any unaccounted for item.



◦ Hot Tub/Pool:

Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times.

Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration.

No drinking in the hot tub, please.

Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we're in the desert and debris can easily get into the water.

Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.



-Cowboy Tub Availability-

The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during winter months (November - March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.



◦ Photoshoots & Video:

No un permitted photoshoots or videoing at the home. If you would like to use our home for those purposes please send us a message. Any unauthorized filming will result in a $5000 violation and production fee.

◦ GUIDED MEDITATION / HYPNOTHERAPY

Enjoy a relaxing guided meditation or a healing hypnotherapy session full of self-discovery with renowned hypnotherapist, spiritual teacher, author, and founder of Desert Reset retreat, Cynthia Morgan.



◦ STAR TOUR

If you would like a better view of the night sky there is a company called Sky Watcher that offers a “Star Tour".



◦ MASSAGE

For convenience, privacy, and relaxation, guests can request an in-house massage with Ryan Mussen of Mojave Massage. Book a neuromuscular therapeutic deep tissue massage, sports massage, swedish relaxation massage, or even a sound meditation session.



◦ PRIVATE SOUND BATH

Ryan Mussen also does amazing private in-home sound baths.



◦ YOGA INSTRUCTOR

If you are interested in having a yoga instructor teach private classes at the house please contact us for referrals.

If you plan to have dinner at Pappy & Harriet’s, we strongly recommend making an advance reservation.

If you're looking for a CLEAN place during this pandemic, look no further. My wife is a germaphobe (opens cabinets with tissues, sanitizers door knobs upon arrival, brings her own towels), and she said... "this might be the cleanest AirBnB I've ever seen!!". It was like music to my ears. Cleaning crew needs a big pat on the back... truly outstanding! — In regards to the house, it's incredibly thoughtful. From the furniture, to the placement of the swinging chair in front of the speakers (a genius sonic move), it was extremely well planned and we felt honored to enjoy it! — Lastly, the location is outstanding. Neighbors were far enough away for ultimate seclusion, while still being close to town for a quick bite at Frontier Cafe. This place is a gem... we highly suggest!!

Warning: This is a Rave Review! From the first point of communication, in advance of selecting this property, I was impressed by the prompt and friendly responses from the property management liaison, Brad, establishing a strong confidence in booking. The property sits on beautiful piece of land, with no nearby neighboring houses and is just far enough off the main highway so that it is completely noise free and peaceful without feeling like you're completely out in "the middle of nowhere" (for anyone that may have safety concerns about staying alone or in a duo) Great layout and decor throughout the interior and exterior of the property. No shortage of gorgeous viewpoints, peaceful spots and fun photo opps! During our stay, we had a few questions about operating the hot tub and fireplace that could not be resolved with the provided directions. Brad was available with responses and problem-solving solutions that were ultimately effective. I look forward to returning to this property.
