Enjoy the beauty of the four seasons in New Hampshire at the Camp at Newfound Lake. We are located on a dead-end road in the woods next to Whittemore Brook. It is a short walk or drive to a shared beach located on Pasquaney Bay. There is a ramp for day boat use, dock, raft, and picnic table. We are in the heart of the Lakes Region with abundant hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, and skiing opportunities. The camp is the perfect spot for a snowmobile get-away, ski vacation, fall hiking, or summer water fun. Wellington State Park is nearby with the largest freshwater sandy beach. Newfound Lake has exceptionally clear and clean water due to natural springs. Many mountains are nearby for downhill and cross-country skiing. Ice fishing is popular on the bay. Snowmobile trails are nearby and the views of the lake are spectacular. We have all the equipment necessary to make traveling with little ones easier ~ high chairs, porta-cribs, strollers, toys, etc. Let us know what your needs are so we can set up accordingly before you arrive. We are looking forward to sharing our piece of heaven with you.

About James Mitchell
This property was purchased by my parents in 1972 and was used by the family for over three decades. My wife and I bought the property from other family members in 2007. At that time we replaced the old camp that was there and built this new house.
James Mitchell purchased this House in 2007
Why James Mitchell chose Bridgewater
This location is very special to our family because of the long history of vacationing here with friends and family. Many memories of my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews - boating and water sports.
What makes this House unique
Two hours from Boston with many attractions in the Granite state. Very centrally located in the Lakes Region. Swimming and boating access to Newfound Lake.

lovely cabin on newfound lake
Very lovely and well maintained cabin. Pictures are very accurate in what cabin looks like. James was very quick to respond with any questions I had. Very quiet and even though we could not use the beach (too cold) we did walk to it and was very nice
Practically Perfect in Every Way!
We come up to Newfound Lake every July for a family reunion week and up until now we haven’t found a place that really met our needs, we were always trading off needs because we have two small children. This place had all the space, beds amenities and literally everything we needed. The games and movies and toddler toys and high chair and toddler beds and portable crib...it was practically bespoke to us! If you have kids, this is your jam. Seriously, I’ve tried a bunch of places and I am never going anywhere else. Jim’s “camp” was exactly what we needed in every way. Thanks so much for sharing with us! Jay and Di
Really nice home clean and updated
A little hard to find off the main road but other than that the house was great would definitely book again!!
Great place and space for this family of 6.
Our family has outgrown hotel rooms for skiing and found this home that was 14 miles from Ragged Mtn to be a perfect solution. Feels remote but is less than a minute off of the main road. Nice and warm on the sub zero days we were there. Accomodations were perfect, as described. Clean, well equipped (including a crock pot that was not listed on the site, I brought my own and didn't need it). Jim was quick to respond with a couple of questions. Great place, highly recommend it.
Nice newer cabin with two bedrooms (very nice king beds) - and 2 bunks kind of in the hallway of the loft style 2nd floor. Clean place - huge garage. We went in winter so no idea of yard. Across major road from Newfound Lake. Nice little town of Bristol just south of home.
I stayed at the Camp at Newfound Lake for a weekend, and my only complaint really was that it was too short of a visit! Jim's "camp" is a very nice 2-bedroom home, with an additional sleeping loft with 2 beds. It's not fancy, but has everything you need. The beds were all comfortable, and everything was clean. Some perks of the place: 1) The kitchen is large and open to the dining/living room, so everyone can hang out while meals are prepared 2) The kitchen is pretty well outfitted for a large group; the only thing I would recommend bringing is ziploc bags and tupperware 3) There are some great "extras," such as the fire pit, the very nice gas grill, and the ample board games. There's even foosball and ping pong in the garage, and a high chair and pack-n-play if you have little ones. Everything you'd need for a great vacation! Just one thing to note, this house isn't right on the lake; you have to go across the street and down the road just a little ways. I didn't read the description well enough the first time, or I would've noticed this. But the private dock area they have is nice. I also recommend checking out nearby Wellington State Park, which has a really nice beach area. It is $5 per person and is well worth it. All in all, thank you Jim for a really nice stay!
Thank you for your nice review. Hope to have you back again next summer!
Profile Falls in Bristol is a short walk to a beautiful falls where you can also swim or enjoy the foliage in Autumn.
Sculptured Rocks in Groton is also a place you must see nearby. You will go through the quaint town of Hebron on your way there.
Kancamagus Highway is a winding road of beautiful mountain scenery. Stop at all the overlooks as each one is spectacular!
