Fully restored Caswell Beach cottage! Two floors, sleeps 4-6 people with two full baths. The Old Barn, as she is known, was built in 1935 and was the only home on the eastern side of Oak Island to survive Hurricane Hazel in 1954. She was purchased in 2011 as a quaint, graying bungalow but has since been renovated with everything new, including an in-ground pool, lounge chairs and cabana. For the occasional rainy day, you will find the downstairs screened-in porch, complete with tiki bar and built in benches. Adjacent to the porch is a downstairs kitchen area, complete with sink, island and mini fridge (there is also a complete kitchen upstairs), making entertaining easy at both top and ground levels, depending on your preference. Our cottage is small but sweet and perfect for small family gatherings, relaxing evenings grilling by the pool or watching the sunset from your private deck, built high on the dunes, overlooking the Atlantic. Perfect for a girls weekend or an adult getaway. Not recommended for small children. The property includes a large parking area to accommodate all guests.
Note: Pool is open from approximately May 1st through mid October. But please, NO dogs are allowed in the pool...Thank you!
