Bald Head Island house rentals

We stayed for a "week after labor day" vacation with family and our toddler. This house is perfect in every way. Fully stocked, comfortable beds, decorated wonderfully, and very clean. Hosts were incredibly responsive and went out of their way to make our stay easy. Great location on the island. I have no complaints. Our best VRBO experience ever.

The house fit our needs well with my family of 5, my sister and her two kids, and my mom. It is located right in the middle of the island so it was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

Catherine’s home was the perfect spot for a family vacation with 2 toddlers. Close enough to the most beautiful beach on the island to run back when we forgot something, or to take the bikes instead of a golf cart. Located in the thick jungle-like maritime forest, offering shade and peace in between beach trips. The back entrance of the house leads out onto a maze of boardwalk paths through the forest. Everything in the house worked as described, and Catherine generously arranged (and paid for) extra rental bikes for us when hers went missing. The house is well-equipped with games, beach toys, boogie boards, etc… We did not end up using the crofter, but fit 2 families of 3 comfortably in the main house. The turtle conservancy headquarters is around the corner- there is a sandwich and Italian ice window there. The shoals club down the street offers several dining options, 2 pools, and beach umbrella/chair service. Catherine was very responsive and helpful with the reservation and any issues that came up during our visit. Highly recommend - hope to be back in paradise soon!

Enjoyed the property - great stay and Bald Head. Bikes, golf carts - public beach areas and shoals club. Also enjoyed the pool and kitchen.

Amazing, beautiful home with everything we needed. By far, the best property and attentive hosts that we could have asked for.

Family vacation outstanding stay!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were 4 adults and one child and our dogs staying at the house and everyone loved it. There is plenty of room, great views and the house is very well equipped. Our only complaint is NOT with the house. The new system for the ferry and tram system was barely functioning and absolutely nothing went according to plan. I hope that part gets fixed because getting on and off the island is as a serious nightmare and I am not sure that I would do it again unless they improve the entire process.

The description was spot on! Lovely views of the ocean. Paddi’s instructions were perfect. Communication prior to our trip was excellent. She was very responsive to questions upon arrival and made sure all was in proper order. Dalwhinnie was a perfect set up for our family. Looking forward to coming back.
