Hilltop luxe villa surrounded by vineyards and agaves with stunning Paso views.
TFrom the moment you turn onto the winding road that leads to Vista El Pomar, you begin to understand why guests describe this villa as one of the most peaceful and inspiring places they’ve ever stayed. The landscape opens slowly as you rise in elevation—vineyards on your left, rows of agave on your right, rolling hills spreading outward toward Paso Robles, Templeton, and Creston. By the time you reach the crest of the hilltop, the world seems to widen around you. The air feels clearer. The light feels softer. And the quiet—interrupted only by the distant hum of nature—signals that you've arrived somewhere truly special.
THE ARRIVAL EXPERIENCE As you step out of your car, the first thing you notice is the view. It stretches for miles in every direction, an uninterrupted panorama of wine-country scenery. Morning light glows across the vineyard surrounding the property, while the agaves on Agave Hill cast distinct blue-green shadows across the soil. The villa sits above it all—confident, calm, and beautifully integrated into the land. Most guests pause here, just taking in the space. It’s the kind of arrival moment that sets the tone for the entire stay: unhurried, expansive, grounded in nature, yet luxurious in feeling.
THE VILLA: LUXURY THAT FEELS LIKE HOME Inside, Vista El Pomar offers a balance of modern comfort and warm, welcoming design. Large windows draw your eyes outward, making the surrounding vineyards and hills feel like part of the interior décor. Natural light floods into the living areas, creating an immediate sense of openness. The living room is designed for connection. Whether you're sharing wine, preparing for a day of tasting, or simply relaxing after exploring the Central Coast, the room invites conversation and comfort. Plush seating, stylish décor, and thoughtful details make it easy to settle in and feel at home. The kitchen is fully equipped and designed for cooking together—whether whipping up breakfast with local produce from a nearby farm stand or preparing dinner to enjoy outside under the glow of golden hour. Guests often comment that cooking here feels less like a chore and more like an experience, thanks to the views that frame every corner of the space.
THE VINYL LOUNGE: A SIGNATURE EXPERIENCE One of the most memorable spaces in the villa is the Vinyl Lounge. It’s a room unlike any other in Paso Robles—a curated listening environment where music, wine, and landscape come together. As you settle into the lounge, drop the needle on a record, and watch the sun paint the sky, it becomes a ritual: a slow, soulful way to unwind and connect with the moment. Couples love it. Groups love it. And many guests say this space becomes the emotional center of their stay.
THE OUTDOOR SPACES: YOUR PRIVATE HILLTOP Step outside and the landscape becomes your private sanctuary. Outdoor dining and lounge areas are positioned to maximize views and create natural gathering places. Morning coffee is a favorite outdoor ritual here—quiet, cool, and accompanied by the sounds of nature waking up across the vineyard. As the day unfolds, you might wander through the vineyard rows, stroll up Agave Hill, or simply sit and take in the open sky. The property feels expansive yet inviting, with enough room for everyone to find a sense of solitude or connection as needed. Sunset is a daily event. The sky transforms into vibrant hues of gold, pink, lavender, and deep orange. Whether you're listening to music on the patio, sharing a glass of Paso wine, or simply sitting in silence, the sunsets at Vista El Pomar create memories that feel bigger than photographs can capture.
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY FEELS LIKE AT VISTA EL POMAR Imagine waking up to soft morning light filtering across vineyard rows outside your bedroom window. You step onto the patio, coffee in hand, breathing in the crisp air shaped by the Templeton Gap. The day feels full of possibility, yet completely unpressured. Maybe you head out for wine tasting—world-class estates only 5–10 minutes away. Or you spend the morning reading on the patio. Some guests venture into Templeton or Paso Robles for brunch, while others choose to relax on the property, savoring the quiet that comes from being surrounded by open land. In the afternoon, you wander through the vines or explore Agave Hill, admiring the shapes, textures, and shadows of the agaves as the sun shifts overhead. As golden hour settles in, you might open a bottle from a local winery and start preparing dinner in the kitchen. Or perhaps you ordered takeout from a local restaurant and brought it back to enjoy with the sunset. Evenings often end in the Vinyl Lounge—music playing softly, a record spinning, the sky darkening, stars appearing one by one. It’s peaceful, grounding, and incredibly restorative.

The property is AMAZING. And the communication with the owner and property manager were just as spectacular. They answered all my questions in a timely manner and even tried to help book us some winery reservations. I wish I could live in this house
I usually don’t do this . But, i need to write this so that family don’t make the same mistake i did in renting this house without knowing the true. This house is everything you see on pictures. Very beautiful. However, as soon as we open the the kitche faucet the smell started. When one ofmy family member tried to take the shower the stink started. The house has a water tank and when the the water smelled like egg and fart. It was a unpleasant smell and it was embarrassing for me . The wholle house stank and it was awful. We all ended up taking showers with stinky water. I send a message to person in charge who told me about maybe the water tank system failed. But, smell never went away . I was not going to write anything . But, the property owner did not even apologized for our ugly experience. So there you go

We’re sorry this guest felt dissatisfied. As outlined in the house instructions, the property is on a private well, which is standard for rural Paso Robles and Templeton. Guests are advised to run the water for several minutes before use, which clears any temporary sulfur odor that can occur when a home has been vacant.
Our property manager, Matt, was in direct communication with the guests throughout the weekend, and we inspected and reset the water system immediately. The home was rented again two days later with no issues reported. We strive to be transparent and responsive and encourage guests to reach out during their stay so any concerns can be promptly resolved.

Why they chose this property
We chose the El Pomar District of Paso Robles because it captures everything we love about California wine country—beauty, serenity, world-class vineyards, and a sense of place that feels both timeless and distinctly Paso. This neighborhood sits just east of the Templeton Gap, where ocean breezes move through the hills and create one of the region’s most desirable microclimates. Warm days, cool nights, and stunning light shape the landscape from sunrise to sunset. What drew us most to this area was the peaceful setting and the authenticity of the land. Surrounded by family-owned vineyards, olive groves, lavender fields, and working farms, the El Pomar District offers an immersive wine-country experience without sacrificing convenience. Even though it feels beautifully secluded, the neighborhood is only minutes from renowned wineries, tasting rooms, farm stands, and many of Paso Robles’ best restaurants. Guests can enjoy quiet mornings on the hilltop, then be wine tasting or exploring downtown Paso in a short drive. The views here are extraordinary. Rolling vineyards stretch in every direction, framed by oak-studded ridges and open skies. Sunsets are especially memorable, with warm colors sweeping across the valleys of Paso Robles, Templeton, and Creston. At night, the area becomes peaceful and star-filled—perfect for relaxing, unwinding, and reconnecting with nature. What we enjoy most about this neighborhood is its balance of tranquility and accessibility. It feels like a true retreat, yet everything visitors come to Paso Robles for—award-winning wineries, scenic drives, local markets, and the charm of small-town California—is close by. This area reflects the heart of Paso Robles: agricultural, welcoming, scenic, and rich with character. Choosing this neighborhood allowed us to create a luxury hilltop retreat deeply connected to the land while offering guests an extraordinary wine-country experience.
