About Christine Lucenti

My husband and I live here in Florida and we both work, my husband owns his own business and I work as an Association Manager, we love to travel when we can, when we are not working we enjoy taking a ride on our boat, or going for long drives to place we have never been and exploring Florida and all it has to offer. We have two small dogs and we love to take them with us when the situation allows. I am a certified diver and dive every chance I get.

Why Christine Lucenti chose Florida Central West

My husband and I both love the tropics, which is probably the main reason we live here. Most of our travels are to the Caribbean. We have visited places such as Costa Rica, Mexico, The Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Jamaica, Aruba just to name a few, what we love about the Little Harbour Island Resort at Mariner’s Club Bahia Beach is that it reminds us of all the things we love and enjoy about the tropical places we visit. So we decided to purchase a unit, not really for a rental property but for our use and enjoyment as our vacation home. We stay there as much as we can, but when we are not using it ourselves, we feel that we should allow other to enjoy this tropical escape. We also love going to the parks, Bush Gardens, Sea World and Universal, so its easy to drive to them from the resort. If you like tropical getaways and feeling like you’re on “Island time” we are positive that you’re going to love it here as much as we do!

Nice Stay

  • 5 of 5

Very Nice Stay. We came to check out Sun City Center for possibly living there. We took it easy. Husband went fishing, while I sunned and read a lot. For some reason, I expected more of a single family home, but this is like a condo, on the second floor, and no elevators. However, that was not really a problem, just a slight inconvenience. There were dolphins in the bay right up to the shore. There are eagle nests and eagles around too. It was fun dreaming about the yachts. It was nice meeting people in the resort. Some live there all the time. The restaurant is really nice, and they have a killer brunch on Sunday. They are not cheap though. I wasn't too crazy about the area around there, Ruskin. There were some Mexican food tents around the area, I was a little too afraid to try, but a local told us they were great, and we should try them. However, we never got the chance to. We took a day and went south to Siesta key beach, which is beautiful. I got a great tan! And it was wonderful to get out of the cold Ohio Weather. The room itself was cozy. Nicely decorated. The stove top thing - you need to read the directions on how to use if you've never used one before. Everything you need is there. Plenty of towels in the tub in the closet. No problems. One day the latch on the inside broke and we couldn't get back in, Fortunately the balcony was unlocked, and the resort got a ladder, and my husband climbed it and we got in that way. So, that lock is now removed, and not sure what the owner will do with it now. Great trip though!

Location, Location, Great Location!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at Little Harbor on our vacation. The weather did not always "behave" but it is March!! We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is ideal! The grand kids loved having the pool so close and the beach just a short walk away.

The room was spacious and suited our needs very well. Kitchenette had everything we needed. Balcony was very nice for morning coffee! The beds were very cozy and comfortable!!

We really enjoyed eating at local spots, i.e. Julie's Fish House and The Dog House....multiple times!!!

Will definitely keep this place on our radar for future visits. Christine was wonderful to work with and very helpful coordinating our stay.

Again thanks for sharing your property with us.

Wonderful time

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at your property and just fell in love with it. The property was exactly what we expected , as described by owner. We were so happy the owner thought of everything we could possibly need and it was there! We had breakfast there and enjoyed the amenities at Little Harbor for dinner. Hook was just delicious with sandwiches etc, friendly . The Sunset Grill was just beautiful and food delicious, you could watch the sunset from there. We loved the place, everything was close , the beach , fishing pier, and food what else do you need. Everything was perfect and Christine was just terrific! Answered all our questions, was available by phone at anytime and just a super owner to work with. I would definitely book this property again. Oh and the beds were so comfortable. Perfect vacation, cant wait to return. Marie S

DO NOT stay at this overpriced hotel incorrectly listed as a 1 bedroom condo

  • 1 of 5

This property was incorrectly listed s a 1 bedroom condo when we booked it Dec. 2016. On arrival, we discovered this condo was no more than an old hotel room. To our surprise, the owner recently changed this listing on VRBO to read HOTEL.

Please do not waste your money if you are looking for a condo by the water. I am not the only one, if you look back at a review posted from St. Paul, Minn. on July 2012, they had similar concerns. They indicated this was an overpriced hotel room, no full kitchen and the beach was a block away from the property. The owner's description "Caribbean View" turned out to be a balcony overlooking an old tennis court and parking lot.

When I contacted the owner she indicated the pictures were exactly as posted, however, there should have been a refund as this unit was inaccurately described and advertised as a 1 bedroom condo. I DEFINATELY would not have rented a hotel room. The owner refused to refund a portion of our stay, her excuse was this was high season. However, the hotel had lots of available rooms, Hooks Bar closed early at 7 pm due to lack of customers and there were only 7 cars in the parking lot.

This overpriced room is in need of serious repair. For example: the black out curtains were full of holes, there were burnt, scratched Teflon coated pots and only one unusable closet jammed full of cleaning supplies, vacuum cleaner, mop, pail and old trunk. The "kitchenette" was only equipped with a hot plate, bar fridge and toaster oven situated in the hallway right next to the bathroom. Finally, when we were leaving, we discovered a cockroach crawling on the floor by the bed. I have pictures of the cockroach, unusable pots and holey curtains- too bad I can't post them in this review. We have stayed at several condos in this area and found them to be excellent accomodations with views of Tampa Bay. NOT this hotel room in the same area. STAY AWAY from this Unit!

Owner's Response: Hi Carol, again, the description and images shown on VRBO are of my unit. Had you read the entire description you would have known that there was no separate bedroom and that there wasn’t a full kitchen, a kitchenette by definition is a compact area, just by looking at the pictures you'd see that there was a mini fridge, and only small appliances in the kitchenette area, a hallway as you described it, doesn't have counters, cabinets and a deep sink.I believe that you may have been looking at several different listing on VRBO or another site and came across mine and thought there were all the units are the same in Little Harbour, there are a few townhouses listed and that you booked mine thinking it was a lot less than then the the others that upon arrival you realized that it wasn’t and decided that you wanted a full refund, never did you ask for a portion of a refund and your reply to me when I said I wouldn't be able to give you a full refund was that you will stay. After you checked out and I returned your security deposit you stated again wanted a full refund even though you stayed and that if I didn’t give it to you that you would give me a bad review, (I saved all the texts between us) I also find it appalling that you made mention to me that the reviews by other people were incorrect and inaccurate, who are you do define the thoughts and opinions of other people. As far as your reference to the review for 2012, I remember that guest well, she tried to stop payment on her CC saying she was never there,CC ruled in my favor after that she put up her review. Most of the other reviews that are posted are all from past guests most of who enjoyed it, and I even have the person who stayed after you already book for next year. Maybe they read the description, reviews and looked at the pictures before they booked so they knew what they were renting. Also, I do not state anywhere that there is a water view, and the property is and has been listed as “Caribbean-Style Island Resort on Tampa Bay” noting about “Caribbean view” as you mention, again I think you booked the wrong property. I do not recall where you are from, but in FL we have Palmetto Bugs they look almost like cockroaches, but they are not, they are flying insects, and when a door is left open they can fly in, and just because we do have people in and out we have a pest control company come in the unit every month. Oh we put up new blackouts and new pots so thank you for telling me about that.

Affordable and Met Our Requirements

  • 4 of 5

We came down for a week to start looking for a vacation home. The convenience was great, the Tiki Hut/Hooks Bar and Grill and The Sunset Grill were great. They were right on the property so we could walk there. We had lunch or dinner at both restaurants twice. Nice being on the water, having a pool and hot tub. The rooms are very basic, they met all our needs and very affordable. Not a fancy resort but worked out great for us. We'd stay here again.

Wonderful area

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Harbor! The woman we rented from had a nicely equipped kitchen, and the rental was clean, and nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and we couldn't have asked for anything more! While we basically just ate breakfast at our place, we enjoyed everything on the property. Everything was as the owner had advertised. I would love to stay here again! I have given the information to relatives already!
