Guestbook comments from the owner

Came up for the Copper Dog sled race (Watch, not participate) and to snow shoe. We had 3 sunny days with great snow. The cottage had everyrthing we needed after full days of outdoor activities. Hiking along the lake was amazing on the snow sculptures.

Thanks Philip for a cozy and comfortable home away from home. We will be back!

Loved our stay!

Perfect getaway cabin, so cozy with so much vintage charm. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates the history of the UP. The dogs loved running up and down the beach, perfect sunset spot on superior.

Beautiful and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is clean and comfortable. It is nicely decorated with a wonderful mix of old and new. The location is beautiful and we loved walking the beach and watching sunsets. The location was perfect for day trips including shopping, hikes, and waterfalls. We appreciated the extras Philip provided and being able to bring our dogs.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Great location. Stayed here for a snowboarding trip to Bohemia and the cabin was as much fun as the boarding. Right next to Lake Superior. Clear skies, beautiful stars, quiet, well stocked (great local coffee was supplied - thx!). Overall, plan to stay here again unless I have more people and need more space. Was here with my 11 yo son, my sons best friend and his dad. Great time and miss it already!

For the Great Bear Chase

  • 4 of 5

Excellent-cozy, clean, comfy, and full of character! With strong winds off the lake and temperatures around 7 degrees F it was an ideal home base for our family at an unlikely time of year--skiing the Great Bear Chase. Beautiful sunset over the lake!

Lovely weekend with friends

  • 4 of 5

We filled the house to capacity with a bunch of friends for a ski weekend. The house was lovely and the view was lovely as always. Fold out couch is pretty old and deflated (both as couch and bed) and the coffeemaker could use replacing, but everything else was perfect and it was a great jumping off point for all sorts of winter fun.
