In this case, the guest’s complaints were not valid, which I explained clearly with examples and evidence during our private conversations. Instead of discussing the issues further, they ignored my explanations and resorted to threats, demanding a refund after their stay and saying they’d leave a bad review if I didn’t comply. Room size and listing accuracy: The room’s size is clearly stated in the listing, with multiple photos accurately depicting its layout. There’s no indication that the room was smaller than expected. 2. Pillows and hand towels: The room is stocked with standard essentials, including two pillows, hand towels, and bath towels. If anything additional was needed, the guest could have requested it, but no such request was made during the stay. 3. Internet issues: The internet credentials are correctly labeled in the welcome guide. If the guest experienced connection issues, they could have reached out, but no communication was made about this. 4. Bugs or roaches: This is completely untrue. The room is cleaned professionally before every guest’s stay, and there have been no prior or subsequent complaints about bugs. This claim is unfounded. 5. Window shades and lighting: The room has standard shades, which match the photos in the listing. Light levels are a personal preference and not a valid complaint. 6. Noise from neighbors: This is New York City, and while occasional city noise is possible, the building is generally quiet. The guest made no noise complaints during their stay. 7. Air conditioning and water concerns: The AC unit is standard and operational, and instructions were provided in the welcome guide. Running water for a minute or two is standard for many older NYC buildings, which is also mentioned in the guide. This is not a defect but typical for the area. 8. Room layout: The layout of the room, including the bed’s proximity to the kitchen, is shown in the photos and described in the listing. The guest was fully aware of this before booking. 9.
