Crashing Waves Cabana LLC, welcomes you to Newport Beach, the most beautiful beach in California. Two houses from the sand and two house from the bay, this newly remodeled, 900 square foot two bedroom, one bathroom luxury condominium is ideally located west of Pacific Coast Highway and is a 15 second walk to one of the top rated beaches in the United States, according to the Men's Journal Magazine. Many celebrities have beach homes in the area, used to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood.

Some of the most exclusive hotels in the world have developed world class five-star resorts in our community to take advantage of this beautiful beach paradise. Having traveled extensively around the world, we worked diligently to think of everything you will need to have the best vacation ever, in a cost effective manner. We designed our home to be peaceful, romantic and yet cozy. The main living space offers beautiful Italian tile, a gourmet kitchen, artwork by local artists, a 50 inch plasma screen TV and very comfortable couches that turns into beds.

The kitchen has all of the utensils and appliances you will need to cook wonderful meals, and the dining area seats four.

The master bedroom offers gorgeous carpets, a queen-sized bed with finely appointed 500 thread count linens and a 42 inch big screen TV.

Our second bedroom also offers beautiful tile floors and a 42 inch flat screen TV/DVD. The bedroom has two twin beds that can be combined to form a King bed.

Our location is ideal, with everything you need close by. There are over 40 casual to upscale restaurants, boutiques and art galleries within a five minute stroll.

The world famous art colony, Laguna Beach, is a few miles to the South. The surfing capital of the US, Huntington Beach is a few miles to the north. Catalina Island is a 1-hour ferry .ride from our harbor. Newport Beach is a dream location, and I have dreamed of buying here for almost 15 years. We were finally in a position to do it, and jumped at the opportunity to buy this home. Its so close to the beach and bay, a short walk to great restaurants and shops. You really never have to get in a car once you arrive.

Notes:
As with most condo's at the beach in Southern California, this property does not have air conditioning. Because day time temperatures are normally in the low 70s and night time temperatures in the high 50s in normally unnecessary. The sea breeze also tends to act as a natural coolant.

Needs some TLC

The unit we stayed in was the lower unit. The unit overall is nice.

However there is no privacy as all the blinds are broken. The heater wouldn’t turn off, and they don’t provide floor fans for circulation. It was a brutal 84 degrees in the House.

If they spent some money on some minor updates and provide fans and/or a small portable air conditioner it would have been perfect. We’ll pass next time on this unit.

Perfect, simple place to stay in Newport

Our stay at this property was exactly what we expected and needed. There were 5 of us and we didn't feel crowded at all. The kitchen was great, the rooms were nice and the futon was a great extra spot to sleep. Everything was clean and as pictured in the photos. We are familiar with the area so we enjoyed being able to walk to all of our favorite bars, restaurants, the beach of course and the pier. We were barely in the house during the day so we didn't mind not having a patio or outdoor space but I would say thats the only thing really missing to make the place even better. Thanks to Jason for a great stay in Newport - we will probably be back!

Loved our stay

The only thing that bothered my about the place was the couch was unstable due to being on bricks and boards, it also had bad stains on it, it would be better not being there, otherwise was a great place to stay.

Close the the beach, but no view, NOT the outside image we viewed. No washcloths-mediocre.

While it was close to the beach, there was absolutely no view. All windows looked at an alley or fence. Not the view we saw in the pictures. Mediocre towels, no wash clothes. Run down. Would not recommend.

Great Location!! Cozy Home :)

Very close to the beach and the house included everything we needed for our family including a pack and play our 17 month old slept in. Only complaints were someone parked in the carport while we were there and we had to take laps to find parking that night. Overall good experience. Three TV's all needed batteries in the remotes and the couch kept breaking (one leg on the back looked like it had been broken a few times before) but the home was nice and cozy.

Good and OK

We have stayed at many VRBO places and rent out our place in Palm Springs. Our perception of this place was mixed and we want to make sure we are fair to the owners and future guests. Its too bad, as I don't think it would be hard to make this a much more favorable review.

Pros

Great location in the heart of Newport beach.

Décor was comfortable / cozy.

Good overall value.

Reasonably clean.

Cons

Many little things in need of attention. We sent a list to the owners and hopefully they rectify them but included mostly inconveniences like no batteries or dead batteries in the remotes to broken soap dish potentially leaking water into the shower wall (could lead to mold if not addressed) etc. These don't always get reported to owners so if they don't stay there between renters, they may not have been aware.

Communication was OK. We reached out on day of arrival to see if we could get an earlier checkin and did not hear back at all. We ran into a problem with ants and heard back within a day, but just that they would contact an exterminator. No update afterwards for the day and a half left in our stay so not sure what happened.

It is quaint and could be a great place to stay with just a little more TLC.
