Nestled in Port Austin, this delightful cottage is a cool retreat for guests. With 2 bedrooms including a queen bed and twin-XL over queen bunk bed, a cozy living room with sofa bed, and a bathroom with a shower, shower wand, hair dryer, and makeup mirror. This awesome property has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Enjoy the heating, Wi-Fi, washing machine, and the peaceful surroundings of Port Austin during your getaway. We hope you enjoy what our place and Port Austin have to offer.
The public beach is 2 blocks away, about a 3-minute walk. There are beach toys, chairs, and a beach cart in the guest accessible shed. This property has a 9' covered porch with a high-top 4-person table, as well as an outdoor seating set featuring a loveseat and two swivel rockers. On the spacious two-tiered back deck, there is a Weber gas BBQ grille and a 36' Blackstone. There is a large cantilever umbrella and an outdoor dining set for 6.

I live on the west side of Michigan, however, I'm originally from Port Austin. I've found the most rewarding thing about hosting is doing the little things to enhance the guest experience. I've picked up on a few things at the places I've stayed over the years and it's fun to add the little accommodations to my own property.
Why they chose this property
This is the best neighborhood in Port Austin. It's right by the beach, town is walkable, yet the cottage is on a dead-end street with no traffic and is peaceful. I've had a lot of guests remark how well they slept here.
What makes this property unique
This property is unique due to it's location. The kitchen and living room were updated in June of 2024, and the two-tiered back deck was added in 2025. The covered porch is the perfect place to sit and have coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. The cottage is set up perfectly for being social with a group of family or friends, or a quiet getaway for two.
