Beautiful! Great get-away for my family!
I'd definitely stay here again! The owner is great, and the location is very serene! Feels a million miles away but just 20 minutes from city life.
Very Nice home! Lots of room!
Loved the pool area! Landscaping was beautiful!
Had a great time from start to finish. Did a lot of searching and glad I found it because it was exactly what I was looking for. House had everything we needed and the backyard area is incredible. The grounds are extremely well maintained and had no issues with anything. Pictures don't do it justice and can't say enough good things. Sandy was easy to get in touch with and had charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill for us when we arrived. Would highly recommend it and look forward to coming back in the future.
We had a very nice quite time.
Merryvale is even better than anticipated!
It is larger than it appears in the photos. It is beautifully renovated & decorated, but still casual and very cozy. The outside property is very well maintained. Flowers are blooming everywhere, the lawn is green & lovely with trees everywhere. There is expansive stonework surrounding the house in front & back. The pool (with waterfall) is not large, but it is quite deep in places so it's fun for swimming. The large back deck area has plenty of seating. We didn't use the grill this visit, only because we didn't have time. The kitchen is huge and has everything you could possibly need for meal prep. The beds are very comfortable. We saw deer, rabbits, a pony, cows and chickens every day. There are houses somewhat nearby so you don't feel isolated, but we never saw or heard another person during our stay. Merryvale would be a lovely spot for a small wedding, rehearsal dinner or family gathering. (Wish we'd found it before we booked our son's rehearsal dinner elsewhere!) There is only one tv in the home, which was a good thing...we spent the weekend together. It's a short drive to restaurants, grocery stores and everything else you may need. The only minor inconvenience was that the master bath has no place to hang towels...an easy fix. Merryvale is a lovely country retreat and we will be back! Sandy was very quick to respond to questions and allowed us an early check in on Friday. We had a a very relaxing, enjoyable weekend!
Our property is located in South Austin- about 15-20 minutes
from downtown Austin. We are close to the Wildflower Center,
many restaurants, cinemas, shopping & more. There is horse
back riding close by, swimming in the back yard & many areas
to walk or bike. Very relaxing setting with lots of nature to observe.
