We loved our stay. The interior space was perfect for us, but the hot tub and exterior amenities took the cake!! It was great being that close to the lake and having a great bar/restaurant a few steps away.

Cute cottage right on the Marina, walkable for restaurant & bar on the lake. Check out the Virginia Da boat ride too! Host v friendly.

Terribly maintained, excuses from the host, will never book again. Frozen hot tub, no heat in the unit and they didn’t even have blinds for a glass door that sees everything. I’m pursuing a refund & can only hope the host cares enough to actually fix things. Do not stay here when it’s cold, they don’t care about the property.

Dear sir, you were advised to use the hot tub that was literally 1 foot from your unit. We came and tried to repair the hot tub and actually had to call the company that installed the unit. You were advised this. I am terribly concerned why you would not use something that was working just a few feet away??? The heat is a mini split, majority of the human kind knows how to use those. You NEVER relayed that you didn’t know how to use the unit until you checked out. Why, because you wanted a “free” stay. You NEVER reached out with any concerns about the hot tub that was 1 foot from your use or any other problems until you were checking out. We own 40 properties at the lake, we have NEVER had anyone like you stay at our property. Good day sir, I hope you find happiness in your so called “ lonely “ life that you spent by yourself during a Holiday season ❤️

Smith mountain lake gem

Cute place. It’s half of a duplex. Furnishings are nice. Bath is small but nice. No counter space tho. Bathroom door is a barn door style…little privacy. Kitchen has everything you need but there are no cabinets…just shelves. Dishes and glasses were in a basket. Not what you might expect. Keurig coffee maker…brought my own pods luckily TV and WiFi work great. Didn’t use the hot tub…its placement just outside of the entryway is odd, but makes a little more sense when you see it. My only significant concern was that the mini blinds that were on the glass entry door were missing (broken?)…had to hang a towel over the door glass to get some privacy. The owner was super nice…so sorry for their recent loss.
