Come to Whidbey Island and relax in this completely remodeled `Cabin` with an extraordinary view of the harbor, city and mountains! Close enough to town to enjoy all the conveniences of shopping, restaurants, etc. but feels isolated to enjoy the peace and quiet for your island getaway! Get ready to relax in the hot tub and then enjoy a nice fire in the fire pit on the patio!
The Cabin is a 3 bedroom 2 bath home with a patio and hot tub. The views are amazing of Mt. Baker, the harbor and the city lights at night! It’s a home situated on a private drive lined with fir trees so it feels as if you’re in the mountains! There is plenty of parking right in front of The Cabin (up to the planters that are on the driveway). Also on the property (but not accessible to guests) are a shop with a gravel drive leading to it and the area behind the shop used for storing building supplies and other items which could be dangerous and that is why guests are asked to please avoid this area. The cabin itself, parking area, back deck, front porch area and hot tub should be plenty of space to spread out, relax and enjoy your time at The Cabin!
* Kitchen: Full kitchen with electric cooktop, wall oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, blender, toaster, tea kettle, dishware, glassware, pots and pans... pretty much anything you might need to prepare and serve meals!

* Living Room: 50` smart TV, queen sleeper sofa (comfortable!), 2 swivel rockers to enjoy the view or watch TV, electric fireplace, cards and games. The bedding for the sleeper sofa is in the closet off the entry.
* Wifi: High speed.
* Master Bedroom: Queen bed, large dresser, small dresser, 2 large closets, ironing board and iron, extra pillows and blankets, sofa at the view window!
* Bedroom #2: Queen bed, chest of drawers, closet (where the router is).
* Bedroom #3: The `Bunk Room` has a twin bunk bed with a trundle that pulls out from under the bottom bunk. These are designed for kids or small adults. The closet area has hangers and drawers below plus shelves. Extra blankets, comforters and pillows.
* Deck/patio: Hot tub! Fire Pit! Adirondack chairs, table and chairs for meals! Also an excellent place to view the deer, bunnies and squirrels!
* Activities * Deception Pass Bridge (one of the most photographed!) and the surrounding area is a must to explore!
PBY Museum is really well done with the history of Oak Harbor AND there is a plane to see in real life!
Fort Ebey and Fort Casey (from WW2) are just a short drive away.
Historic Coupeville (the oldest city is Washington) is just 10 miles south.
Anacortes, on Fidalgo Island is fun to explore.
Port Townsend (on the Olympic Peninsula is a fun ferry ride (reservations are recommended for that ferry unless you walk on).
The Cabin, front porch, designated parking area, back deck and hot tub is completely yours for your entire stay!
It`s likely you won`t see me during your stay, which allows you more privacy and convenience. However, I`m usually here (or my amazing co-host is!) anytime you need to reach out. If you need anything or have questions, just send us a message via the Airbnb message center and we’ll respond as quickly as we can!
This Cabin is located on a private road with only 4 other houses. The entrance is lined with fir trees making if feel like you`re driving into a forest and then it opens out into a clearing where the Cabin and the other houses are located. It is a quiet neighborhood although you can occasionally hear children in the distance having a good time. This is also a military community with NASWI (Naval Air Station Whidbey Island) located just a few miles north which means that you may hear the occasional jet flying as they are doing their training. We love our pilots and are super happy to hear that `Sound of Freedom`!
Getting to the Cabin is fairly straight forward and there is plenty of parking in front and on the side of the house. • Please take off your shoes when inside the home. • The neighborhood’s quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. • Please turn off AC/HEATING/LIGHTS when you go out (except the front porch light so you can see when you come back!). • Please close and lock all windows and doors when you leave the property. • Visitors are allowed if they do not spend the night. • Pets are allowed on a case by case basis ($125 fee). • No smoking inside; you may use the parking lot/street. • No illegal substances are allowed. • Please separate waste from recyclables in the labeled bins provided. • No food or drinks in the bedrooms. • No candles or other open flames. • We do not allow parties in the home. • Please only throw toilet paper in the toilet; there is a trash can beside it for everything else. • If you break or damage something, please let us know and together we can arrange for its replacement or repair. We enjoyed the location and our morning walks to Windjammer Park. Awesome sunrises from the living room and the hot tub was delightful.

Our stay was amazing. Everything was just as the pictures show. Room for everyone and close to the grocery store which was a huge plus. Nancy is such a great host answered all questions and made us feel at home. Would recommend this place to family and friends.Gary
Stayed for a night with my wife and 18-month old and had a lovely time. The cabin was clean and very well appointed and mostly baby-proof so we were able to relax and let our baby roam around freely. Everything worked, beds were comfortable and the bottle of wine on check-in was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend!
A very Tidy, neat, and clean property with a cabin in the woods style motif!Beds were extremely comfortable and plenty of room for a family getaway!! Contact was instantaneous, (Nancy is a generous and caring Hostess!!)

We recently stayed at the perfect little cabin in Oak Harbor. It had everything we needed and more. The place was very clean and loved the decor inside. The hot tub was amazing too. I would highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back.

Return Guests always get a special discount, too!
It was great! Exactly as promised. My only feedback would be that the hot tub needed cleaning and the house was so cold upon entry. It took a while to get comfortable

Nancy is highly communicative and responds quickly. It’s clear things have been thought out for your stay. We appreciated some extra treats left for us. Very nice touch. The view is nice but sadly we didn’t get any sun to catch a sunrise. Very quiet area that feels very safe.

My family stayed here for a week and I strongly recommend this house. The house has a great view of the mountains and water Also the kitchen is pretty well stocked for those who plan on cooking some meals. It’s just a short 1 mile walk down to the water/park for those who like to explore and very close to the downtown area! The owners are very friendly and quick to respond if you have any questions before or during your stay. We will definitely be back!

It was an absolute pleasure to host you and your family! I have amazing and wonderful guests and that’s exactly what you are! You are more than welcome to come back any time you want!
The rental was super clean and very well kept. The hot tub was clean and it was in working order. The bathtubs are very deep, so if you have someone with difficulties getting around you may want to help them and you'll want the no slip mat under the sinks.Overall a great place, we will be staying here again.

About the host
Hosted by Nancy Collins
I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest for 20 years (originally from Southern California) and absolutely love it! I love traveling, seeing new places (my bucket list just keeps growing!), and frequently go solo! I love helping my guests feel like they have a home away from home to relax and enjoy exploring all the delights of our island and the surrounding areas!
Why they chose this property
The Cabin is located on a private, fir-lined street with only 3 other homes on it and feels like you’re in the woods. It opens up into a fabulous panoramic view of Mt. Baker, the harbor and city. You have to see it to believe it!
What makes this property unique
The views are incredible, the hot tub is delightful, the fire pit is begging for stories to be told around it and The Cabin sleeps up to 9 people (if some of them are small - for the bunk room. Lol!)! Come and start making memories!
