Pass lake is a local catch-and-release fly fishing only lake. It is three miles away. Lake Campbell is eight miles away. water sports like skiing and wake boarding are allowed as well as fishing. there are numerous other fresh water fishing and boating lakes in the area. Mt Erie is 11 miles away. you can drive to the top for fantastic views of the area. for clams and oysters, Ala spit is three miles East on the other side of the island. very interesting place, especially during a tide change. of course there is a lot of hiking, beech, and site seeing in Deception Pass State Park with different entry points very near the property.

Beautiful and relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

The property has a wonderful rural feel but close enough to amenities that we didn't feel isolated. There was a lot of space in the common areas for our large group to spread out and still interact. Reverse osmosis water was nice. Made smoothies with the fancy Ninja blender. Loved having the fenced yard for the dogs to run around in. It's obvious that a lot of work has gone in to the home and it looks great. Craig was really great and responsive to our questions. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home!

Beautiful house & View!

  • 4 of 5

This property was great to stay at, the view is exceptional! We all wished we could live there. Beds were comfy, house was clean, owners are very friendly. The only downfalls is that the cell service was in and out and the jets were awesome, but constantly loud. Would definitely rent it again.

fantastic location with great amenities

  • 5 of 5

This house is centrally located for the northern side of the Seattle area. We were a quick Ferry ride to the Olympic Peninsula and quickly up into the Cascades in the other direction. The View is fantastic of the ocean, fields and forests. Saw eagles, hawks, song birds galore and the location is quiet and peaceful without being remote. The house has all the needed amenities and felt homey but was modern and clean. Craig was attentive and checked in during our visit to see how we were doing. I would recommend staying here to anyone, and will probably go again in the future.

Incredible retreat!!!

  • 5 of 5

Could not have asked for a better place to stay! Everything was as advertised and the owner was a pleasure to work with. Property and surrounding grounds are beautiful and scenic. Seeing and hearing the planes fly above was incredible. My only concern is that it is available the next time we stay on the island!

Seattle, WA

Wonderful property; lovely home with good view of Sound; very close to Deception Pass

  • 4 of 5

We were here for a month and had a great time. The owner is very accommodating - easy to work with, which is a bonus. House is on the corner of quiet streets, so spend some time on the deck listening to the wildlife, like coyotes and red-tailed hawks. Because there aren't any street lights, the stars are amazing, too. Our only warning is it's best if you appreciate the Navy, as they do fly over often, but we were told by many people in town that this was an unusual occurrence and that they were training new pilots. The sound of freedom can get a bit noisy. There are beaches to explore in every direction, simply by driving a few minutes down one road or another, and there are also many good hiking trails nearby.

Our favorite dining experiences were: Flyers for clam chowder - best on the island! Rustica for good salads, or splurge and get their lasagna; Zorba's for anything and everything - yum! Seabolt's for fresh clams - buy them by the pound and bring back to cook. Seabolt's also sells salmon pate' which is delicious, but costs a bit less at the Deception Pass store than in Oak Harbor. And then, of course, if you want to venture further, in Coupeville stop at Christopher's for garlic soup, or go all the way to Greenbank for pie.

I'd recommend this vacation rental for anyone who wants to hang out on the north end of Whidbey Island.
