About Lee kimball
I grew up in the farmhouse, moved to a nearby town for a time a moved back 15 years ago with my husband Bill and 2 children. I've lived elsewhere an travelled a bit but always enjoyed our unique New England town. We're proud to be inclusive - there's something for everyone here. With the 5 colleges there is plenty to do from biking to concerts and museums and sporting events. I am a pharmacist and work full time but I'm a real home body that enjoys gardening and fixer upper projects. Bill is a self employed plumber who raises pheasants and chukar partridge in the late spring thru fall. Bill is an avid hunter and fresh water fisherman.
Why Lee kimball chose Amherst
My family has lived and farmed here for 3 generations, my grandfather and father had Leonard Egg farm and Bill is carrying on the tradition with pheasants and chukar partridge. Our rental space is a separate residence attached to the farmhouse.

Home Away from Home
Lee went out of her way to bring me anything that I needed! I needed another bowl and she went and got it. There were treats in the house in the kitchen. It was so nice in the home and like a home away from home. The house was very neat and clean. We will be planning another trip and staying here next year! Absolutely a great place to stay!!! I would recommend it to anyone!
Great place to stay!
We were here for UMass graduation and it worked out perfectly. Very convenient to UMass and Amherst Center. Cushman's Cafe/convenience store is a handy few hundred yards away. We walked on the trails in the conservation area in the backyard and the enclosed porch was a treat this time of year. Lee and Bill provide everything you need and some very nice extras. Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, huge bathroom, and the TV and wifi worked great.
This was our 2nd stay here. I wish we found it earlier in our son's college career. Forget those chain hotels on route 9!
Home away from Home!
Lee was a wonderful host who catered to our every need! She even brought toys up for our toddler. Fantastic! We will try to stay here again.
Kind of "unique", in a good way. Would go back.
You drive into a very large parking lot next a farm. You kind of say, "what did my crazy wife book?"..... and then you get inside and it is very nice! We stayed on the upper level. I wish it had been warm enough to use the very nice sun room.
We were really busy though, looking at colleges, so we did not spend much time actually at the house. But the owners were very nice, and Lee gave our family a HUGE bag of food that she could not eat. In fact, it weighed about 7 pounds and we "maybe" at 2 pounds of it.
If you need pizza / sandwiches delivered, I recommend "Amherst Pizza"....... pretty darn good.
Great location for visiting the colleges and area. Extremely comfortable, clean rental and stocked with everything the traveler needs. Great hosts. The fresh eggs and homemade cranberry bread over-the-top special.
Great location for several universities
This was very convenient and spacious. I am looking at staying again.
We are ideally suited to parents and children on college tour, visiting faculty, family in town for reunions, out of town wedding guests. Our location is private and quiet while close to everything. Spacious enough for everyone to relax. We are kid friendly with a swingset in the front yard, bikes to ride in the driveway, walking trail to water in the back.
