Lakefront Retreat

Peaceful by a Lake

We three older women, gathered for a celebration of life for a longtime friend, wished we had more time to enjoy some quiet time at this lakeside house. What we had was perfect--peaceful without being remote.

Amazing space truly equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. The view was gorgeous, the house was clean, uncluttered, welcoming. Highly recommend this spot. The owner was very kind and receptive.

Tranquil lake setting

Clean and comfortable lake house. We wished it had been warmer so that we could have enjoyed the outside sitting areas but the living room and dining table afforded nice views of the lake as well.

Beautiful lake view and great location

We had an amazing time at Pine Island Lake. It felt completely private and relaxing but was only 20 minutes to Northampton where we needed to pack up our daughter. The lake is a perfect size for kayaking and the house has everything you need. I was so impressed I booked for our stay for our daughter’s graduation next year!

Best place ever for a relaxing vacation

This was our 7th year staying here. The home is always immaculate & well kept. It has everything needed for an enjoyable vacation. We love how peaceful & quiet the lake is. We enjoyed using the kayaks & rowboat everyday & loved just sitting by the lake. We hope to come back again next year. Thank you Nancy for letting us stay at your beautiful lake home.

Lovely Quiet Lake

Just a wonderful lakefront spot with a deck overlooking the dock. Our family enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle board, and a daily swim to Pine Island. We loved that there were no motorized boats! It was so quiet and peaceful. We will definitely go back!

Autumn on the Lake

We love this property. This was our 5th year at this house. We just love it! Property was spotless, and everything that we needed was already there. The early autumn views were spectacular.

Just wonderful!!

Beautiful home, beautiful lake! We had a lovely, relaxing time, both inside and out. The house is extremely comfortable, well-equipped, and filled with light, and has a fabulous view of the lake. The dock takes you right down to the water, for boating or swimming, and the water temperature was just right. Nancy was a very responsive host. We hope to return.

Well maintained, quiet and enjoyable cabin on the lake. Things to consider is about a dozen step down to property and bedrooms are on second floor. Very manageable but something to consider for those with mobility issues.

I was charged for " damage to a cutting board "

The home is nice but, the kitchen was dirty, greasy, the kitchen sink has / had rust around it with failing caulking, not very pleasant. Most everything else was orderly. The lake was great.Please buy insurance before your stay, I was charged to replace a cutting board.... a cutting board ! A cutting board is used to cut on .. I have no idea that my wife or I even used the used cutting board. Renter Beware

Lovely peaceful lakefront getaway

Not having motor boats on the lake makes this a blissful spot for swimming, kayaking, and listening to the birds. Good bed in the master--only one we used--with modern, comfortable, well-arranged furniture inside and out. Only used the a/c once, but we were glad to have it. Loved the fresh pies, bread, and veggies at nearby Overlook Farm; restaurants and shopping in Northampton; and the Dr. Seuss Museum in Springfield! Nancy is super nice and responsive.

Gorgeous lake view

This is our fifth year going to this lake house. Every year we are amazed at the improvements that Nancy continues to make. The house is beautiful and well stocked with anything you may need. The personal touches are the best- hand written welcome cards, and a bottle of wine waiting for you upon arrival. These are the extra things that make us want to keep coming back. We love to kayak, so having the kayaks rights there is so easy. We would highly recommend this property!

Wonderful!

This is a relaxing paradise with a fantastic view. Whether swimming, kayaking, or just sitting and taking in the quiet and scenery, we were all content and happy. Our host Nancy made sure we had everything we needed, including information about the property. The house is clean and well appointed. The furniture and beds are comfortable, kitchen well equipped, and there is a nice lawn area. We are looking forward to a return next summer, if not sooner. Thank you Susan G and family

House was clean and well appointed. Furniture was comfortable and met our needs, inside and out. Great access to water and there was plenty of recreational equipment, such as boats, paddles, life vests, etc.Quiet location, beautiful views, and clean lake water! This is our third summer stay at Pine Island Lake. We always look forward to swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and just enjoying lake life. An improvement this year was an outdoor shower which was amazing!

2nd lovely stay

We came back to Nancy's place again this year - it's such a gem! We had beautiful weather and were able to swim and kayak, while enjoying the start of foliage season at the same time. Nancy's place is clean and comfortable, with anything needed for enjoying the lake, preparing meals and having a relaxing stay. Nancy is quick to respond if we reach out. We hope to be back again!

I have lived and appreciated Western Massachusetts for many years. The area where Pine Island Lake is located has culture, history, fresh food, and so much beauty. The areas is popular for biking, hiking, and exploring. I have owned and rented the house for eleven years. I work and live forty minutes away and it is pleasure to share the property so that others can enjoy it during the weeks that I cannot.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

I fell in love with Pine Island Lake as a relaxing place to have a vacation home. I love to swim in the lake, sit in the yard or on the deck, or relax in the living room with the fantastic view of the lake. My house faces the south and is very sunny. The sunsets on the lake are fantastic. I am involved in the lake community and I appreciate the neighbors and how much they protect this beautiful space.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The view from the living room of the lake and the many windows that slide open for an open breeze are my favorites about the property. Pine Island Lake is a swimming lake, the water is clean, it is tested regularly, and motor boats are not allowed. Stepping outside and going for an evening or early morning kayak ride is a bonus!
