Amazing Lake Cottage
We had a short stay on Tee Lake at the beginning of August with our 11 & 14 y/o’s. The kids loved the lake for fishing and swimming. We also enjoyed the coffee shop and ice cream stores in downtown Lewiston. One day, we headed down to Grayling for a kayak trip on the Au sable river (highly recommend Carlisle Canoe Livery - smaller outfit with fantastic facilities, equipment and customer service), and had a late lunch at Paddle Hard Brewing in downtown Grayling. The home was very spacious comfortable for our family of 4 and if we find ourselves in the area, again, I would definitely stay here. We didn’t cook much, but the kitchen seemed well equipped. There were two fans for warmer evenings - it was in the upper 80’s and we were never uncomfortable. If you’re looking for lake house feel in an updated cottage, this is the right home for you!!
Quiet, relaxing environment, lots of natural beauty
This lakeside house has a pleasant view of a wooded island and one can see wildlife, including loons. The waterfront is shallow and children could wade and splash safely. The neighbors were friendly, but quiet. The place is in good repair, but it needed a good dusting. It was a very convenient place to stay while we were visiting family members in the area. We all are experienced North Country cabin-dwellers, and tolerate sand, spiders and the smell of sweat and mosquito repellent. Our only problem was with the interior. The floors had balls of dog hair wafting around. The closets were packed with the owners' personal items and we had to clear a small space to hang our few things. The bathrooms were clean, but one of the beds had not been changed since someone else had slept in them. We needed to wash the sheets, and luckily the place had a washer and dryer available. One of the bedrooms was obviously the place where the dog slept. There was a folded blanket near the sofa bed, and we thought it was intended for someone sleeping there to use during a chilly night. But only one whiff made it clear that the blanket was really a dog bed. We threw that in the wash, too. The refrigerator was half full of half-empty food containers and the glass shelves needed a good scrubbing. It looked as though someone had only recently vacated in a big hurry. However, the price per person was more economical than the area's motel accommodations.
Absolutely the best place we have stayed so far!!!! The cabin is very well maintained and clean! We totally enjoyed our week here!!!! We will be back!!!!
Relaxing Lakefront Home
My sisters and I enjoyed our stay, from the relaxing views of the lake to the spacious living areas. Nice updated kitchen and bathrooms!
Property was beautifully redone inside with good sized lot and frontage.
Unfortunately, the main bedroom had a bad odor and the half bath was 'child' size. The ducks and geese out front, made swimming not a good idea and really there was no beach. Also the grille was unusable, very dirty and the lid was not attached. Could use air conditioning and a covered front porch. Also no watercraft with property.
The grill is now fixed. This is the first time I have ever had a complaint about geese. The swimming has always been good here. The property is on a very clean spring fed lake.
Very clean, quiet an relaxing
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The home was very clean and comfortable. Quiet, peaceful atmosphere with plenty of privacy. I enjoyed walking the wooded trails on the property. The kitchen is newly remodeled. The owner should update the website showing the new kitchen cabinets, counter top etc.
