Wonderful vacation!

My family & I have rented this house 3 times and love it! It has plenty of room and is very comfortable. The beachfront location is ideal and it is not far from all the activities. We will definitely rent again!

We had up tp 18 family members (adults and children) at the house and everyone was very comforrtable and had plenty of room. What few things we asked for were quickly provided to our complete satisfaction. We had a great week!

Wonderful house! So roomy and comfortable.

The whole family enjoyed our stay at Lee Cottage. We had 12 people and we all had plenty of room. The property was clean and very comfortable. The manager was very accommodating and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this house to others. The location is great and right on the beach. We will be returning next year!

Beautiful place to forget everything

The house was very nice. It was big enough for everyone to have their own space and bathroom. The weather stayed beautiful and I could not get enough of the ocean. We ran across one small problem and the owner took care of it right away. The neighbors were friendly and told us about a few nice places we could walk to for dinner and drinks. Being directly on the ocean is the only way to spend a vacation. I loved it and will rent again in the future. Tammy

Great location but house is a mess

The property is in a great location and very spacious, but the house and patios were a mess. For example, there must have been 10 coffee makers stashed inside different kitchen cabinets, but we could not get any of them to work right. All of the cabinets were cluttered with piles of junk. The patios were dilapidated, furniture is falling apart and had not been cleaned for a long time. We were without internet the last several days. The owners barely left enough paper products to get us thru to a visit to the store the next morning.

Great location, but property is dirty, clearly in need repairs.

Owner/manager very responsive with our issues. We had to fix the direct tv's for first day and 1/2 by talking with direct tv service. Then had to call a repairman for heating system as it stopped heating. The bedrooms were as advertised, but mattresses were terrible. House is in process of falling down, some very soft, rotten floors in downstairs bathrooms, including what appears to be mold and ceilings have had water damage. Porch is falling apart; overall house is nasty, worn and dirty. Should have known something would be wrong considering the price. Again, location is great, but house has been very neglected.

Exactly as we expected! 4 of the bedrooms has en suite bathrooms. The other 2 bedrooms have a Jack and Jill bathroom. House was clean but is due for a remodel. Didn't matter to us since most of our time was spent on the beach or the patio. Perfect Location. Will rent again.

Disappointed

The beach house didn't look like the pictures, outside porch had one rocker on it and that was it unlike the pictures. Cushions on inside porch were so dirty and stained you really needed to put a towel down first. Garbage in the can on the porch and full of ants. Only TV that worked was the one in the living room. Many mattresses didn't have mattress pads on them and when we stripped the sheets on one mattress almost made us sick looking at it. I did take a picture if you would like to see it. Garbage under one of the dressers. One broken bar stool in kitchen which was really a safety hazard. Many pots and pans were so bad, they should have been thrown out. Found griddle and another pot in a bedroom closet. On the floor in that closet was old mattress pads and something else which I didn't want to even look at it. Found another mattress pad in the trundle bed room that you wouldn't even want to put on a mattress it was so bad. Needed some extra pillows which they had but of course no extra pillow cases. For as much as we have to pay for departure maid service, I think it could have been better. They wanted us to wash several loads of towels before we left but of course didn't give us any laundry detergent. We were killing cockroaches every day in the house. Were really looking forward to this beach house after looking at the pictures and were really let down..... At least the maids could have told Evolve if something needed fixing or supplies needed for the house? Not real happy with Evolve as a manager for this site. I was in frequent contact with the manager and she was very nice.

Disappointing

I was speaking to my contact person quite often about the house. I am also not happy with Evolve for misrepresenting the house. You can tell it has been neglected and not kept up but the cleaning people sure could have done a better job or alerted Evolve about things needed in there. We were short pillows and there were many in the closets but of course no pillow cases. Half the beds didn't have mattress pads on them and one bed when we stripped it at the end of our stay had a huge stain on it. If I knew it was there I wouldn't put my kids on it. Would think there is some health regulation that you at least need mattress pads. Only one TV worked and that was in the living room. Washer and dryer had knobs missing. They expected us to wash several loads of towels before we left but of course no detergent to do that. One large blind in upper living room was down. Pillows on porch were stained and always felt like you needed to put a towel down first. For outdoor porch we had one rocking chair unlike what the pictures showed. Many pots and pans were so bad, they should have been thrown out. Found griddle and pans in closets in bedroom by kitchen. We were killing cockroaches every day which wasn't much fun either. It was a beautiful location and we made the best of it but did't want to spend so much time trying to straighten out cupboards in disarray and cleaning. Don't think we will stay at the Lee Cottage again soon and can't really write a good review about it either on VRBO. Our contact did apologize and said she is the new owner. She should start with new cleaners and a company that will make sure the house is taken better care of.

Enjoyed our stay!

The house worked well for our large family. The large windows ip and downstairs were perfect for watching the older kids as they played on the beach. The grand kids had a wonderful time and the covered porch was nice for the great grandparents.

Fabulous Location but House Needs Maintenance

We have stayed at this property as a family of 19 for 3 years in a row. We absolutely love the location on the beach (perfect for finding starfish, crabs, shells, etc.) so this is why we have booked repeatedly. However, the house is falling into disrepair and needs major maintenance inside and out before we will stay again. Whoever is in charge of cleaning the property is also not removing trash from the outside. There are multiple broken canopy frames and even trash in the outdoor shower that has not been removed. This is really a shame because the house really has a lovely setup. It's just not receiving the care it needs to.

Great space, great view!

Our family enjoyed this house for our annual family beach trip. Enough space in the bedrooms, kitchen, and living space. Our family cooks almost every meal and the kitchen was fully equipped for us. The large porch area and view is amazing, especially for our family members who don’t necessarily like going on the beach. My grandmother sat out there all day long watching the beach and ocean, she was in Heaven. The only negative comments I would make would be that the outlets in all of the bathrooms didn’t work, trash pick up was only on Monday (which is hard for a larger house that holds 16-18 people), the caps to the sewer clean out line need to be replaced, and lastly we recommend new furniture in the living rooms because there is plywood underneath most of the cushions. We had a great week, thank you for sharing your house!

Great experience and location

The house big and had space for everyone. The deck and balcony was just amazing with a great view of the ocean the perfect place to have a drink or relax with the family and enjoy the view. The onwer was easy going and very cooperative to work with. My only problem was the place needs some minor repairs but that's was such a minor impact on my stay that I only bring it up because others will and for those who expecting perfection. Should I find myself coming back I will definitely look to see if this place is available.

Constructive assessment

The house needs a LOT of care.Windows upstairs did not close in one bedroom.The receptacles did not work in some bathrooms. Some areas were really dirty,some were really nice!!! Storage area under the house was repulsive.There was food left In the fridge,broken chair on porch with large stew sticking out. This was a safety hazard.We took care of it. We had a good time ,but the overal maintenance supervisor needs a lot of training or needs to be fired.There is a lot of hands on care missing.The porch needs to be painted etc.etc. I am making these comments as a constructive criticism. I think Vrbo needs to step up with either demanding that the property under their care is better maintained or drop certain houses that under their care.No lip sticking !!! If VRBO adresses these issues we would like to give the house an other try.I think the management firm presently lacks the dededicatian to be a leader in their field. Sincerely, Your customer

Great oceanfront home for a family vacation.

Great oceanfront home for a family vacation.Property manager it was easy to work with. Everything listed in the house was there. The unit was very clean when we got there and had multiple bed options for a large family. The kitchen is well furnished. We love sitting on the porch although the screens were absent don’t know if they lost them in the last storm or not. House is right on the beachWith a stairway right to the beach and no dunes to cross.
