This charming deluxe waterfront vacation cottage is all about location. It is located in the heart of the village of Alexandria Bay aka A-Bay. It is next to the RiverEdge Resort and you can walk to everywhere in the village including Uncle Sam’s Boat Tours where you can take a boat ride to the beautiful Boldt Castle or the storybook Singer Castle. The property has a spacious wood burning fire pit that overlooks the mighty St. Lawrence Seaway where you can ship watch. The cottage sleeps up to 10 adults (maximum) with 4 private bedrooms and 2 baths. The house was original build in 1863 has be recently remodeled. It is tastefully decorated with a wood paddle theme. The full kitchen boast ample room for preparation to save money during your family vacation by eating in. This all season cottage has heating and air conditioning in each room. Dock rental is available for an $35 per day extra fee. Sorry NO Pets allowed on the property. Nice note*** the property owners and managers live next door if you ever need anything during your stay, they can assist. This one of a kind property has been voted Number 1 vacation rental in Alexandria Bay 7 years in a row. It is in a key spot for nearby fishing, scuba, boating, touring, sailing, jet ski riding, the village beach, playgrounds, kayaking, a view of Boldt Castle from property and near by other castles and grand island mansions, restaurants, Night Clubs and Bars, Shopping, Tour Boars, Boat Rentals, Drive-In Movies, Fishing Guides, Vineyards, Distilleries, Golf, Go-Carts, Tennis, Pickle Ball, Distilleries, Wine tastings, and Shopping. Maximum occupancy is 10 people, no sleeping on cots, air mattresses or couches.

This was the ideal spot for our family. Our 7 year old could fish right off the dock! There was plenty of space both inside and out. There was a great patio and outdoor fire pit! This home was walking distance from to the restaurants and shops! Best get away ever!

Great hosts and location make this place. Excellent communication and easy check in from the start made us feel welcome. The house was built in 1863 but has been updated for all the modern amenities. Very clean and comfortable. The outdoor deck and fire pit area offer a great view of the bay and Boldt castle. Docks are well kept and protected from wind and traffic, easy in and out.

The River is our favorite place! Our stay was perfect at Paddles on the Porch! The home and yard are spacious for family and friends to gather, we especially enjoyed the firepit and deck. Any amenities you would ever want or need are supplied. The owners are lovely people, easy to communicate with, and immediately responsive to any concerns or requests. A 5 star review for sure! We are hoping to return!

Views and Property are Perfect

Overall this is a great property! We were able to tie up our boat for the weekend and walk right up to the house. Everything was clean and well updated, views from the property were second to none and it's an easy walk to downtown. Highly recommend!

Great place for vacation week!

My family and I had a great week at Paddles on the Porch, the Rutherford's had everything set for our arrival. The cottage was clean, updated and had all of the latest amenities. We enjoyed having everything in A-Bay just a short walk away and seeing an illuminated Boldt Castle from the deck at night. Court even had firewood and the gas grill was huge, thank you to the Rutherford's, it's nice to get what was advertised!

Our First Time to Alex Bay!

This was our first time to the area and we were so happy to be staying in the heart of it. Paddles on the Porch is a perfect location to walk to town, but also have direct access to the water. We brought our boat and loved having the ability to dock it right just a few steps away. The house was great - Great kitchen, comfy beds, and awesome deck to hang out on. We enjoyed the fire pit in the yard and there is a tiki bar only a few steps away that we enjoyed afternoon cocktails everyday. I can't say enough about how wonderful the location is and how well the hosts run the process.

Fantastic Alexandria Bay rental

The property is perfectly placed to have a great Alexandria Bay experience. You can walk to town; the Tiki Bar is steps away and access to boat tours is steps away. Going to Canada is a snap. The owners take great pride in their property. The kitchen is stocked with anything you can imagine you would need to make cooking like home. They supply shampoo, body wash, bug spray and suntan lotion! I have never been to a place that provides bug spray and suntan lotion! The yard is right on the St. Lawerence River. A huge fire pit/sitting area. A peaceful place to start or end your day. I would highly recommend this property.
