Our newly-built cabin is nestled in a tranquil location, yet close enough to all the excitement of Floyd, VA. With two cozy bedrooms, a charming deck, and firepit, you`ll have everything you need for the perfect getaway. You`ll love the convenience of being only minutes away from town and less than 15 minutes from popular events like Floyd Fest and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our cabin offers the ultimate privacy, with no neighbors in sight. And if you`re heading to the New River Valley, we`re less than an hour from Virginia Tech, Radford University, and Ferrum College.
Just a few reminders:
1 - Pets allowed with permission, MAX 2 dogs, sorry NO cats. Bring your own crate and bedding. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and please do not use our linens to clean them.
2 - Absolutely NO Smoking of any kind on the property.
3 - Please do not move furniture
4 - Keep it clean. When you leave it should look the same as you entered, with the exception of bed linens and towels
5 - Remember it`s our home, so treat it with respect
6 - Bring your own firewood and don`t forget the marshmallows for the firepit.

Another Enjoyable Visit

Stayed at this cozy property for a second time this year as we traveled to Virginia for another bike race. The hosts are great and have good communication throughout the stay. Clean and comfortable home nestled in the woods for privacy and quiet.

Very cozy and clean home surrounded by beautiful wood lot. We loved how close to the main road it was, and the quick 5 minute drive to downtown Floyd. The view from the loft was spectacular. The queen bed we slept in on the main floor was comfy, the shower felt wonderful with the rain shower head, and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed sitting by the firepit on the deck and watching deer forage in the woods nearby. It was really a peaceful and serene getaway, and we definitely plan on returning.

Wonderful Floyd retreat

The Blue Rock Escape is perfect for a getaway - the house was clean and cozy and the location was an ideal place from which to explore Floyd and surroundings. Pat is a super responsive host (including going above and beyond to get a lost item back to us!). We would happily return!

Mountain Retreat

Came to the area for a mountain bike race and this home was just right for our weekend in the mountains. The home is just as described on the site and the owners went above and beyond to make sure you have all the comforts of home. Would recommend for anyone needing a quiet retreat. The small town of Floyd, VA is a great place to walk around and enjoy unique shops and dining experiences during your stay and is only 3 miles from the property.

Beautiful place in the woods

The place is new, well equipped, super clean and beautiful. It set in the woods but relatively close to everything. We had a hard time finding it but the manager was great and with a little help we found our way. The communication was awesome and very helpful. It a great place to relax at the house or use as a landing place to take trips. We will definitely be back!

Great weekend

The home was as described and communication from the host was clear and extensive. The home was welcoming with a lot of unexpected amenities. My husband had a long bike ride on Saturday and it was exciting to see the grill so we could have steak, potatoes and broccoli. When I started cooking I discovered I forgot salt. My husband quickly pointed out the salt, pepper and other spices he had found. It was the most delicious dinner. Unfortunately we had to leave out very early on the last day of our stay due to an event, but wish we could have lingered a bit longer. We will be back!
