We were there for our daughter’s graduation from Virginia Tech. While it takes some time to get to campus, it was nice to be removed from the crowds and chaos following the ceremonies and be able to relax and enjoy time together in a beautiful setting. Thank you!!

The cabin is incredible! We loved it. We were delayed getting there, so we arrived in the dark. It was a little challenging to find; however, once we figured it out…ohhhh we had a ball. It is decorated so well! The home is very clean and has everything a family needs. Thank you all!

Christmas Getaway

Cabin was perfect for our Christmas getaway.From the homey feeling we got when we walked thru the front door our family felt right at home. So much so that our granddaughter was sad to have to leave when we checked out. The cabin Is very spacious and it had everything that we needed for a perfect stay. Would love to go back sometime. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in a relaxing environment.

Beautiful and Peaceful

We really enjoyed holding a small retreat at this cabin. It was so clean, and there were plenty of spaces for each person to have privacy. The setting was serene and peaceful. We loved watching the deer walk through the field every night. Hoping to stay again, highly recommend!

This cabin is quite a drive from Floyd fest. It’s a beautiful drive though. The cabin has good sleeping space for 6 people. It is very peaceful there. There are a few things I would change if I were the owner but I am a picky sleeper. The owner by the way was very communicative and answered a few texts in a timely manner. She seems like a great person.

Relaxing Christmas getaway

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were nice, clean and comfortable. We appreciated the Christmas tree and other Christmas touches. Our only suggestions would be to provide soap (hand soap/dish soap) and to possibly address the water pressure issues with the kitchen faucet and the basement bathroom sink faucet. Otherwise, everything was very nice.

The cabin is much bigger than the pictures. It is well maintained and nicely decorated. The property is a huge, cut pasture that is perfect for dogs and kids to play on. It is located close to Floyd, VA and other recreational areas. We had a great long weekend. Thank you!

Absolutely Beautiful

The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful cabin and property. The cabin is very clean and so comfortable with lots of space for everyone. The wrap around porch is gorgeous. The outside spaces including stone fire pit and wooden hill top swing are added bonuses. Check-in instructions were easy to follow. We reached out to the owner once and got a very quick response to our question. This was a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to everyone!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful log cabin perched atop a hill with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The wraparound porch was a perfect place to relax, with plenty of outdoor seating to take in the scenery and wildlife. We spotted deer, wild turkey, and even a bear during our stay — a real treat! My wife especially enjoyed picking and snacking on the wild berries growing nearby.The cabin is in a pretty secluded area, which made for a peaceful and private escape from the everyday. There’s not much cell service, but the WiFi worked well and kept us connected when we needed it.If you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled retreat with stunning views and rustic charm, this is the place. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Cabin with Thoughtful Design Details

My husband and I both have family in Willis, and we were delighted to find this delightful cabin for the holiday. The cabin was clean and cozy for our group of 8. The wrap-around deck is where we would have liked to spent our time, because it was so serene. Cold, wet weather forced us inside which was fine beacause the kitchen table could accomodate us all once we pulled it away from the window and found stools in the loft. The fire-pit was amazing, but we did not get a chance to use it. I would recommend this bright, cheery cabin to my friends and family visiting the area.

So Much To Explore!

We really enjoyed our time at the well described Modern Willis Cabin Retreat. Modern, in that the interior has a clean, modern design that is well-appointed, but it still had a cabin feel. The 24 acre farm is certainly a retreat from our busy lives in the city, providing us plenty to explore with the covered bridge and flowing creek. The cozy swinging chair at the top of the hill. The massive fire pit where we were able to achieve that perfect smores! Even the charming old Methodist church down the lane that seems to have so many stories to tell, but now being used for storage. We really enjoyed our trips to nearby Floyd with its charming Country Store, and the amazing brews at Red Rooster Coffee!
