Kauhale Makai #211 is a Lovely Oceanfront 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit on 2nd floor with Central A/C and fast Wi-fi! Enjoy beautiful Ocean views and sunsets while dining from the balcony lanai. Short walk across lawn to beach. Well equipped kitchen, Breakfast Bar, large smart TV in living room. Main Bedroom has King Sized bed, Ocean Views, Private Balcony Lanai overlooking Pool/Hot Tub, and large mounted smart TV. 2 twin beds in second bedroom with Oceanfront views. Queen Size memory foam sofa bed in Living Room. Condo Sleeps 6. Unit equipped with beach chairs, beach towels, sun umbrella. On-site smart phone operated laundry available. No fee parking lot. Putting green. Tennis court/Pickle ball privileges. Sleeps 6.
Same day bookings and those arriving within 48 hours of making the reservation requires a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation.

This condo stays as cool as you like it. Kihei is perfect for families, romantic couples, or anyone wanting relaxation as well as quick and easy access to world class dining and entertainment. Kauhale Makai has a volleyball court and putting green on-site, and is a 5-minute walk to public tennis courts at Luana Kai Resort.
There is no smoking anywhere on the Kauhale Makai premises.

Awesome location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved the location of this rental. It was easy to drive to lots of beaches for snorkeling or surfing. The view from the balcony was unbelievable, too. While we preferred other beaches to the one behind the condo, it was still nice to have a place to see the sunset. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied with plates and utensils for cooking. We would definitely stay here again.

Rey spacious unit. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. Well appointed in the kitchen and gear for going to the beach. Really nice having 2 balconies with lovely view. Right by pool. The pool was very nice. Because of high surf it was a bit more crowded than I expect it usually is. Great location to try local restaurants. We drove but less than 10 minutes to multiple grocery stores and places to eat. Also close to many beaches. Grills were available on property. We did not know that this area tends to be more windy than some other parts of the island.

It was spacious enough for 5 people and for our other family traveling to gather with us there. Some parts of the condo was older and not in the best shape, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying it. I recommend this unit! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stunning View, Lousy Beach, and an Overrated Rental Stuck in the ‘80s

The rental boasted a beautiful view and decent shared amenities like a pool and BBQ area, but the unit itself was extremely outdated. Attempts to modernize were minimal, poorly executed, and felt cheap; like the vinyl flooring made to look like wood, which sounded hollow and shifted underfoot, likely due to failed adhesive. The concrete walls and ceilings were heavily overpainted, with thick layers now peeling where they meet. The beach was also disappointing: a narrow strip of sand littered with coral and debris, and the water consistently murky. Overall, the experience felt more like a 5 than the perfect 10 it was rated when we booked.

Beautiful Ocean Front Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There is a living room balcony and one of the bedrooms has a balcony. The other bedroom has nice big windows. All face the ocean, and the unobstructed view is gorgeous. Short walk across the lawn to the beach. Well-equipped kitchen. Two good sized bathrooms, attached to each of the bedrooms. Large TV in living room and one bdrm. Bath towels and beach chairs are provided. I made a maintenance call because the switch to turn on the fan above dining table didn't work. They responded immediately, but couldn't fix it. That electrical outlet needs replacing. The kitchen sink faucet needs replacing, as it's a little hard to work. But everything else was fine. Had a toaster, blender, coffee maker, plenty of dishes and glasses. I really enjoyed the stay, and would book this unit again. The view is the best!
