The house underneath is an eye sore on the block. Ripped screens. Windows rotting out. Hoarder type stuff on screened in porch of downstairs property. Our apartment up the steepest set of stairs and was clean except dirty clothes and underwear left in bedroom drawers. Never again

The location of this property is great. Easy walk to the beach, the Washington St mall, etc. Value for the location is pretty unbeatable. Nice to have on site laundry. It was clean and the interior was fine, but the house as a whole is not in great repair (major settling, property leaning to one side). The biggest problem was that the keys to get in were located at a local real estate agent's office -- that check in process was never communicated to me, and I could not reach anyone at Leavetown when I was standing by the door with my children unable to get in. Luckily my partner was familiar with Cape May and went there on a guess and got the keys, but that was not awesome.

Super convenient location. Clean. Good communication surrounding unexpected late arrival & when parking confusion arose.

Great location. Easy to walk to the beach and to the town. The property was very clean. Host was very accommodating. We didn't cook but it appeared to have everything you would need. We had 5 adults and there was plenty of room for us. Only input would be parking. You have to find available street parking which can be a challenge. It was fall and one night we still had to go 2 blocks away. Other suggestion would be on the description I didn't understand the property was upstairs. Ok for us but something to be aware of if you have mobility concerns. Overall I would suggest this property.

Everything was great in this quirky second floor shore apartment. The key pickup was easy. The location was perfect, the amenities were wonderful, and the whole place warmed up in minutes once the heater was switched on, which is important in December. There was a lot of light, plenty of TVs, and a full-size washer and dryer right inside. But man, what is going on downstairs? The place was a sort of blight in an otherwise pristine neighborhood. Rotting wood porch, peeling paint, screens partially ripped out. There was a rotting slab of plywood leaning against the front door for God’s sake. (I actually hid it before everyone showed up.) It put me in an odd position to meet my family here and show them the place I picked for us to stay. Of course we made light of it, particularly once we got upstairs. The picture shown on VRBO seems a little out of date. Still…the apartment itself gets 5 stars (thank heavens). We had fun there and it was set up great. I just wish the owner would put some love into the outside. For what amounted to 500 a night, I expect better.
