This is our second trip to Lake Norris and we absolutely love it! Property had everything we needed! Had a gorgeous view from top deck. Nice to have own private slip for boat. Would not recommend pulling trailer or boat to this property. Previous posts stated you can park truck/trailer on site-which is not wrong. However, road is very narrow and difficult to navigate.

Amazing location
Location! Location! Location! Beautiful setting on the water, sunshine, dock, deck, kayaks! Air conditioning is excellent. Washer and dryer, dishwasher for convenience.House is in need of maintenance but we spent our time outside. 1 king bed, two queen, 1 double. Large air mattress found in the laundry room.
We have stayed at this property two years in a row, October 2018 and October 2019. Both times the property has been a wonderful stay! The location is beautiful, overlooking the lake, and the accommodations feel like home.
Love the location! Close to the highway! Quiet area. The house was PERFECT for our family of four and my sister's family of three. The kitchen has everything we needed and the kitchen table was large and accommodating. The view was impeccable from the deck. Enjoyed every minute!
Boat traffic can be fast through the channel, but mostly courteous when they see you swimming at the dock. We didn't use the boat slip this time, but was grateful for the space if we needed! Just excellent! Hope to stay with you again in the future!

Slightly disappointed
Dock and at water experience was great.
Deck furniture was tired and cushions were not welcoming as covers have holes and rips so not completely covered prior to arrival.
Sleeps 12 is a real stretch as needed to sleep some on air mattresses which was less than ideal.
Main bathroom toilet was dirty upon arrival.
Garage great room was great for the kids to play games, etc.
Kind of needs a refresh.

From the owner: "Thank you for your stay. The deck chairs with cushions are replaced every year. I’m sorry there was a cover that was ripped. We will get that replaced immediately. We want to make sure that guests are able to make the right decision for their vacation, so we are very clear in our description of the number of bedrooms and other accommodations. We have hosted many groups of 12 plus at our property that were great. Our cleaning staff is top-notch, and they would have been happy to resolve any problem brought to their attention right away."
We enjoyed our stay on the lake. However, the owner should review his on-line listing. There is only one available covered boat dock, not two. The 2nd covered dock has a boat lift in it, and is unavailable. The 4th bedroom is actually a "closet" with a full size bed and tv in it, and there are no windows. This is an average home that needs some repairs/maintenance. Lots of space for parking vehicles and trailers.

Hi Betty & Gary, we're glad you enjoyed your stay! We take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: It's disappointing to read your review, as we are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences. The listing is entirely accurate in detailing the property and all that is included during the stay. We can confirm that the bedroom is definitely not a closet. The listing describes it as a twin slip dock to express the size of the dock. The pictures and description clearly emphasize only one slip under the roof (the other one is utilized by the owner) with the availability to tie up at least two more boats uncovered and four jetski ports. We're sincerely sorry for any confusion. Our cleaning service gives us a write-up after every stay but they could have missed something. Occasionally people break things that we're unaware of it until it's reported and we immediately have it fixed. Communication is highly important to us and we wish you had contacted us with any issues or concerns so we could have had the opportunity to address them. The next five renters have not had any issues. Thank you very much for including our house as average with all these multi-million dollar homes on this wonderful Norris lake. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Nice and affordable stay at the lake; deck needs replaced
We stayed here in early June with our family of 5 (kids 9, 6, and 2), and my parents. Overall, the rental was affordable and our stay was great. We come to Norris for the lake and the covered dock itself is very nice. There was ample space to keep our boat and all our water toys. There are camping chairs in the garage if you want to sit out on the dock. One of our favorite things to do is to play off the dock with our mat and paddle board. Since this is on the northside of Twin Cove and not in a private cove, there is some boat traffic. We came during the week so the traffic wasn't horrible, but it might be an issue on the weekends if you are swimming around the dock area. Some of the boats go really fast and the wakes will knock your boat around, even if you tie up well and use bumpers. There was a lot of debri in the water around the dock. I'm not sure if that was the time of year or if it is common for this part of the lake.
The hill to the dock wasn't a terrible walk (though my parents in their seventies had some difficulty and only wanted to make a few trips per day). The concrete walkway as you near closer to the dock is very nice. The dock was off to the side of the . We fixed it once but it went right back. My kids actually enjoyed it this way, so they could play on the concrete pad leading into the water (I think it reminded them of our family cabin in Michigan, where the water is very shallow by the shore).
The septic did smell until our last day. I didn't realize it was the septic at first and attributed the smell to a dead catfish. The owner was responsive and sent someone right out shortly after being notified. We didn't use the fire pit for this reason, as it is very close to the septic opening.
The outdoor furniture and deck have seen better days and could be replaced. The deck is peeling terribly and has holes in it. Some if the stairs look like they are about to cave in.
No complaints about the inside. House was clean for the most part and has a dishwasher, washer, and dryer. Just be aware that there is only one bedroom upstairs and three in the basement. There were sufficient starter toiletries, toilet paper, paper towels, and dishwasher pods, which is always appreciated.
There was ample parking for our trailer and two cars. Be sure to drop your boat in the water before you get to the house, as recommended.
Easy access to I-75, Twin Cove, and Walmart for groceries.
Great location close to I75 house very close to water
Would consider return trip

3rd Stay for us!
We love that this house is Budget friendly but still located nicely on the lake with a pleasant walk to the dock. The pool table, ping pong, and corn hole were a hit with the kids while the adults enjoyed talking on the deck. It was nice that this owner had another rental next to this one, we were able to accommodate both families and walk to each other’s place for dinner. The mattresses are comfortable and the furnishings are nice. A little out dated but definitely more bang for your buck when looking at location and dock access. We rented a boat from Twin Cove, which is only about 5 minutes away. It looks like the faucets in The kitchen and downstairs bathroom need replaced soon but definitely did not hinder our stay. The owner is always very responsive and easy to work with. We will be back again soon.
My brother and I meet our Niece that we have not seen for 40 years. We were very comfortable in the house and the beds were great. The road to the house was a little scary, however, The scenery was beautiful. Any questions we had was answered immediately. Good plave to rent.
Nice location on the lake the lake. Kids enjoyed the dock for fishing and swimming
Good property smaller bedrooms than we thought and a little hard getting to the house but the directions and the info about putting the boat in first was helpful

Hi Rene, We're glad that you enjoyed your stay! The drive to the house is typical for the Norris Lake area and provides great views of the mountains and the water. The bedroom arrangements are also shown in the listing photos - the main bedroom is larger, and the other two are standard sized. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!
Nice place with plenty of room. Plenty to do including a pool table/ ping pong table, weights, grill, fishing, etc.
Coffee pot did not work without holding button while brewing. Garage door did not work or lock. Considering the area that’s not a big deal at least for us.
All in all a good place for a getaway.

Awesome house and location for our group. We had 4 couples with 4 trucks and trailers and it was a perfect fit. We had a great time. Would love to come back in the spring/ summer to enjoy the lake.
This house was perfect for our girls weekend! The dock is perfect to swim or lounge by the water. The house was clean and spacious, with everything you need for cooking meals together. We had an amazing time and would book again!
Overall everything was great. Lots of comfortable seating and space. Beds were pretty squeaky and could use some replacements. Easy access to the nice boat dock was a plus! Would definitely recommend this place.

Look forward to staying longer next time!
Originally we rented this property for a weekend of ATV riding with several family members and friends. Unfortunately many of them had to back out at the last minute. And it was probably a good thing for parking purposes because it would have been impossible to get 6 truck and trailers in there. The location was perfect if you don't mind driving to the nearest trail head to offload your buggy. We found a Shell Station on Exit 141 that only charged $5 for a daily parking permit.
This house had just about everything you could need to cook meals, however a sharp knife was hard to find. You won't need to worry about not having enough fridge space with 2 available, the 3rd one, I assume is for leftover alcohol & condiments of previous travelers. So if you forget the ketchup like we did look there 1st! The place was very clean and comfortable overall. The dock was an additional bonus, allowing access to 2 kayaks and great fishing!
