Quick getaway w/family

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great property. Roomy. Excellent amenities. Enjoyed the theater room, pool, arcade etc.. Only issue was a chirping smoke detector that interrupted our last night. Caused us to move everyone around at 2 am - including 3 kids 3 and under. Management was quite dismissive when brought to their attention - offering a couple hours added to our stay.
Response from VrboOwner on Jul 30, 2026

We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention, and your feedback regarding the response you received has been shared with our management team for review. Thank you for staying with us, and we truly hope to have the opportunity to provide a better experience in the future.

Thank you so much for your enthusiastic and detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear that the cabin was a great fit for your group and that everyone—from the kids to the adults—enjoyed the game room and spacious gathering areas. It’s wonderful that the kitchen and large table helped bring everyone together, and that you were able to take in the beautiful landscape (with a little help from the visiting turkeys!). We also appreciate your feedback about the pool alarm—it’s designed with safety in mind, but we understand it can be a bit loud. Your input is valuable as we continue to improve the guest experience. We’re so glad you loved your stay, and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

Beautiful house with a lot of amenities!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is absolutley beautiful. There is so much for the kids and adults to do its hard to leave. The location is perfect, its quiet but close to everything. The beds were comfortable, however the sheets/bedding were terrible for such a high end home. The showers and tubs were amazing but I would recommend a tankless water heater as the hot water ran out after 3 people showered and the water was not very hot. The entire downstairs was awesome for our kids, they loved the pool and theater room!
Response from VrboOwner on Apr 7, 2026
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We are thrilled to hear that you found the home beautiful and enjoyed the many amenities, especially the pool and theater room—its great to know the kids had such a fun time. We are also glad the location and comfort of the beds met your expectations. We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the bedding and hot water. We are sorry these aspects didn’t match the overall experience, and we will be reviewing both the linens and our hot water system to see where we can make improvements. Your suggestions are incredibly helpful as we continue to enhance the stay for future guests. We would love to host you again and provide an even better experience next time!

Brown family vacation 2025

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a wonderful time and it was a beautiful cabin! The colors were vibrant and the weather was great. As always, the week flew by and we are already looking forward to the next visit. This is always the best week of the year for me. The only issue I had with this rental was the cabin was vacant for several days before our check-in and we were told it was being cleaned the day we arrived which prevented an early check-in. We were about an hour and a half late getting into the cabin.

Holy Smokes Pool Lodge 4/27/2026 through 5/3/2026

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Holy Smokes“We left feeling completely restored. The cabin is a true haven of tranquility that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle. “The mountain views were spectacular from every location of the spacious cabin located high on a mountain. The pool and spa were warm and relaxing while watching the waterfall pool side”. “We had the best time traveling back in time in the arcade! With hundreds of options on the multicade and pinball machines, there was never a dull moment. The cabin itself is massive—we love the roomy master bedrooms and the incredibly cozy, well-designed bunk area for the kids”.“The outdoor spaces are just as impressive. The landscaping is gorgeous, and the lanterns make the decks feel so magical at night. We never felt cramped, even in the kitchen and living room, and the well-lit carport was a great safety feature. A huge thank you to the Elk Springs team for being so proactive and pleasant; they truly make you feel like a priority."

This vacation property was heavenly. My wife and I spent our 20th anniversary here and left with smiles and the decision to rent this property again to bring our children with. The amenities were outstanding, the views spectacular. Just a few minor inconveniences that was easily overlooked… 1. Fireplaces were shut off until October 1st (did not know this until we arrived (we would of loved to enjoy a cozy fire while cuddling on the sofa watching TV)), 2. Construction was going on at the property just below us, so we had some noise during the weekdays, 3. Wished the pooled was warmer than it was; water temperature was at about 70 degrees, would of preferred it in the low 80s (but that could just be me being picky). Overall, we loved this property and cannot wait till we can return. Recommend this property to everyone looking for a quiet, heavenly get-away
