The farm has more than 70 years operating. Since the beginning of the 19th century the Quesada family has been in the agriculture & cattle business offering the Central American market premium products with a sustainable vision. This ensures that the land will be passed through generations maintaining the same fertility and quality of its beginnings.
The ranch villa was always the main family house for the Quesada family.

The Villa has been upgraded and modernized in the last years so to keep the feeling of an outdoor farm house that with all the features that a city house has to make sure you can continue your day to day with the slight difference of being in a privileged location. Newest addition: YOGA DECK!
Plants In The gardens have been meticulously selected to have the perfect combination between an ornamental and an edible organic garden surrounded by fruit trees.

Amazing house, more space than we could even use, the host team was great, and the home cooked dinners and breakfasts (arranged with Yadi, the amazing woman who lives in a separate home on the property) were the best food we had in CR. The place was spotless, perfect, and a very easy ten minute drive to everything in Fortuna. Loves it.

Absolutely beautiful property. Close enough to the small take of El Tanque to walk over to the grocery/fruit/meat markets, but large enough and secluded enough to feel like you're truly in the jungle. Staff was always ready to help, especially the gardener who was very friendly. Highly recommend you take him up on his small "tour" of the property (some small amount of Spanish fluency will be helpful here). Saw tons of birds, lizards, etc on the property. Pool and hot tub were delightful after a full day of activities in the surrounding areas.Overall we had a great stay and loved the property. Highly recomend.

Perfect home base for adventures around La Fortuna

The house and grounds were beautiful and so well kept. The backyard and pool area was the perfect spot to hang out after a long day of adventure. We had one meal prepared by Yadi which was delicious! Another plus of the villa were restaurants and grocery stores well within walking distance. Will absolutely consider Rancho Villa Arenal for future visits.

Amazing time at the Ranch Villa Arenal

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. Jorge was an amazing host with amazing staff. Jordy, the concierge was so responsive and helpful with organizing everything for our stay. Yadi, the chef, made the yummiest food for our group and Joaquin, the Gardner, gave us a fun and interactive tour of the property. My husband and friends raved about the house and grounds. Would 100% stay here again!

Great property

Looks like the listing. Great overall stay will a large group of friends. Huge property with lots to see (fruits, birds, etc) and pool w/ hot tub. Water pressure can be low at times if more than 1 person is using a shower.

What a beautiful place. We felt so special and welcome. The grounds are impressive and clean. Each day the pool area gets cleaned . We had ladies fix our meal 2x and the prices were very reasonable. There is someone on the grounds who would help us with anything. Everything we did was close by.

Paradise

Ranch Villa is paradise!!The photos do not do it justice!The excellent staff are friendly and very accommodating.Joaquin took some of us on a farm and property tour. It was very fun. His horticulture knowledge is outstanding. We had Yadira and her co worker prepare 2 meals for us. The food is amazing. We are all sad to leave this beautiful place.There were 11 of us staying and all had more than enough space. We took advantage of the pool and hot tub as much as we could.

The team was superb. Their communication was strong. Value of the property was great when factoring in location, price, amenities, support, etc (5 stars!). They're always very happy to help with whatever needs and accommodations. Prepare to spend far more in tipping than anticipated.

Its raining in the rain forest

This is a lovely property just outside of La Fortuna. Everyone was wonderful and the back yard is beyond beautiful. This is the perfect place for those who don't want a typical tourist experience. It is like living on a plantation in the jungle. We did not want to leave.

Lovely, unique property with responsive staff

This is a lovely, huge house that is perfect for large groups. The backyard/verandah is a feast for the eyes, the bedrooms are comfortable, a very nice sitting room for gatherings and the bathrooms are clean with hot water. Very convenient location, near a grocery store and not too far from all that La Fortuna has to offer. The staff is responsive, helpful and flexible. Jordy was critical to helping plan our excursions and transfers, Yadira made several delicious meals for our group and Juaquin gave us a wonderful tour of the property. Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing trip for a big group!

Complete Oasis

This property will blow your mind. The grounds are impeccable and would match any expensive botanical garden. There's a gorgeous yoga studio & gazeboamongst the garden. Picture perfect pool area with a hot and very large hot tub! The outdoor living space was huge and where we ate our meals, had coffee, and listened to all the jungle noises when it rained. Rooms were comfortable, house was giant and plenty of room to spread out! Jordy was SO helpful for the weeks passing up to our trip. His excursion recommendations were perfect and we were thankful to have a local person arranging the transportation and the tours so that we didn't have to. There's a few restaurants, local shops and grocery within walking distance. Everyone we meet were so nice. If we ever get to come back to Vista Rica we will DEFINITELY come back here!! Believe me-- you won't be disappointed!!

Beautiful Home and Centrally Located

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this home. It was centrally located to most activities which we greatly appreciated (15 min drive to La Fortuna town, Arenal volcano, Tabacon hot springs and Sky Trek Ziplining). The home (including all beds) was very comfortable with a great layout. Simply beautiful property and grounds. The pool with waterfall and jacuzzi was also a nice treat, although we had trouble with the pool filter which was not operating when we arrived. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this home. The fresh coconuts cut down by Jorge on our last day was a very nice gesture and he was very helpful throughout our stay.

Fantastic Property

Very peaceful and beautiful. All the staff was great! Jordy was extremely helpful in setting up our excursions. You must have meals prepared by Yadi and Estella. Joaquin the grounds keeper was so sweet bringing us fresh coconut water and fruit off the property trees. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and Welcoming Villa

This villa is absolutely amazing. The outside patio and pool area is so large and beautifully done. Super fun to walk around the property and see the different plants and wildlife.The inside stays nice and cool. It was extremely comfortable and welcoming.Our added on dinner was fantastic! The food was crazy tasty and very affordable. The cleaning and gardening staff was suberb.Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable. We can't wait to come back.

A Hidden Gem in Arenal – Perfect Retreat!

We had the most amazing stay at this property in Arenal! The grounds are absolutely stunning – lush and well-maintained, creating a peaceful and beautiful environment for relaxation. The pool is gorgeous, and the outdoor living spaces (including a dining area and cozy living room) made it easy to enjoy the perfect Costa Rican weather. The jacuzzi was a highlight, especially after a full day of exploring Arenal and La Fortuna. It was the ideal way to unwind and relax under the stars.The hosts were incredibly responsive to all our needs. Yadi prepared delicious meals for us, and we were able to pre-purchase groceries, so everything was ready and waiting when we arrived. We felt truly taken care of.A special shout-out to Juanquin, who gave us a personal tour of the grounds. He showed us all the fruits growing on the property and even cut down coconuts straight from the tree for us to taste the freshest coconut water we’ve ever had!One of the highlights of our stay was the beautiful pavilion in the garden. We used it for a little yoga and zen time mid-week, which added an extra layer of tranquility to our vacation.Overall, this place offers the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking to explore the Arenal/La Fortuna area while enjoying an incredibly peaceful and unique stay.

La Fortuna

The house, property and staff were great. Amazing house with plenty of room for the family (6 people). Everyone loved the pool, hot tub, outside area and short walk to El Tanque's downtown. Downtown had a couple of grocery stores, bakeries and restaurant. Plus a short drive to La Fortuna.

Rocio, Jorge’s mom has made sure décor in the house exhibits the culture and tradition of the area. Plants In The gardens have been meticulously selected to have the perfect combination between an ornamental and an edible organic garden surrounded by fruit trees.

We are proud to include in your booking your own private English speaking concierge who will be available to book your transport, activities, and answer any question you may have of the area.

Guests are able to access all of the house except for some storage areas of personal belongings.
