About Kathy and Dirk Walker
Dirk and Kathy Walker are from Tennessee and after living in Texas, Wisconsin and Oklahoma, now reside in Denver. Graduates of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, we spent many weekends in the Smoky Mountains. We love to hike and enjoy all other outdoor activities. We have found a year round outdoor paradise in Breckenridge. Though our favorite time of the year to visit Breck is summer and fall, our 3 grown children and their families take full advantage of the winter sports. With family in Wisconsin, Texas, Tennessee, New York, Oklahoma, and Virginia we needed a spot to gather.
Kathy and Dirk Walker purchased this House in 2012
Why Kathy and Dirk Walker chose Woodmoor
We purchased Tenmile Terrace as a place for family and friends to be together in a comfortable, spacious home near year round outdoor activities. We searched for just the right property and knew this was it. We felt at home the moment we walked in. The floorplan is open and the large windows allow for lots of light as well as views from every vantage point. There is space to allow everyone to spread out while still being together. The home is private and secluded while being only minutes away from shopping, restaurants and skiing. And if you don't want to get in your car, the free, convenient, year-round shuttle is just a short walk away.
What makes this House unique
Did we mention the view? It's amazing. From both living rooms, from the upper or lower deck, from the hot tub, from the kitchen, or from the master bedroom, it is magnificent.

Best View in Breck!
We rented the Walkers home for our annual Ski trip and their home is by far the most beautiful place we have stayed in the area! The views from the porches on the rear of the home will drop your jaw every morning as you can see every peak around you, as well as the entire valley! Their home was just amazing, it comfortable slept 6 couples and had ever amenity you could ask for. Hot tub, pool table, foosball table, 2 large living rooms with TV's and very nice fire places! Another great feature was a shuttle stop just up the street from the home which saved us 4 days of resort parking fees! We could not have been happier with this home and it will definitely be our go to rental for breck in the future.
Wonderful property! We couldn't have asked for anything more!
We truly enjoyed our family ski trip at this beautiful home. The home was spacious, warm and inviting. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen I ever had in a rental home. We had everything we needed to prepare our family meals. The bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy, clean and spacious. The window views were magnificent with the snow covered Rocky Mountains. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We will love to come back. This was our first time in Breckenridge. We had a wonderful time. Thank you again.
Great property, convenient location
The house is even nicer than the pictures lead you to believe, kitchen is super well stocked and there is plenty of room to hang out. The house isn't quite 'right on' a shuttle line but the walk isn't bad, about 5-10 minutes each way depending on how much gear you're hauling to the mountain. Lots of driveway and garage space for trucks.
Breckenridge is a quaint, historical mountain town founded in 1859. Originally it began as a gold mining camp along the Blue River and later became known as Breckenridge. In addition to the world class downhill ski resort and numerous cross country ski paths, many other activities draw you to the area year round for different activities - dog sledding, sleigh rides, snowmobiles, ice skating, rafting, golfing, hiking, fly-fishing, gold panning, kayaking, biking, bike races, and festivals. The aspen forests display their beautiful golden yellow foliage colors in fall. There are over 200 miles of off-road bike paths and 40 miles of paved bike paths. Plus, it has over 200 shops and 80 dining options in downtown.
