We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Hygge House! It is beautifully decorated & every comfort was considered. Our girls were "unplugged" through the whole weekend. They rotated between the hot tub, the swings on the pergola, playing in the creek and roasting marshmallows. The host was very responsive when we called with a question. The Hygge House is a perfect retreat for families!
The house was cozy, comfortable and clean. It's secluded nature setting was a perfect getaway. The hot-tub was a great treat as much as the sound of the stream and view.
This is a wonderful home. My wife and I stayed here for a weekend to celebrate our anniversary, and it was exactly what we were hoping for. We wanted to step away from the noise and busyness of everyday life, and this stay delivered. True to its name, the house was cozy, peaceful, and equipped with everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen. While the surrounding area isn’t the most appealing, the property itself is beautiful and provided a quiet, comfortable retreat. Thank you, Daniel and Sarah, for being great hosts!
Such a great place to stay. Had everything you need. Love the theme, made us feel at home. Kids had a blast with the creek and the toys in the kids room. Enjoyed the firepit and the hot tub. Comfy beds. We would love to stay again!
Daniel is amazing! He is always prompt and friendly. The house was just what we wanted. Private, clean, and comfortable. The house was immaculate and welcoming. Everything needed to enjoy our time was present. Specifically, the hot tub was in pristine condition. The directions for use are super simple. There is a curtain at the end of the deck that faces the neighbor so you can have all the privacy.I would highly recommend this house and Daniel to future VRBOers.

The cabin itself was nice, clean, and in a great location. Unfortunately, our stay was significantly affected by a large amount of Asian beetles throughout the cabin. We lost sleep and even woke up to bugs crawling on us, which made it very difficult to relax or fully enjoy the space.
I did reach out to the host during/after our stay, and while they were responsive and offered a credit, I still have not received it and it has now been two weeks.
It’s truly a nice spot with a lot of potential, but the beetle issue made it impossible to fully relax and enjoy the cabin. I hope this can be addressed for future guests.
We rented this home for a girls' weekend trip, and it was wonderful! I could not have been more pleased. It was the perfect spot to gather and celebrate life (it was my sister's birthday)! It was just as advertised. We found the living space to be comfortable for the 5 of us and the kitchen to be equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals at home.It felt very welcoming as soon as we opened the front door. It was wonderfully decorated. We did not have time to sit down by the firepit and make smores, but next time! The babbling creek on the property was peaceful, and we all wish we had left time to sit out there. It was a bit off the beaten path, but quiet and just what we needed. I do think it would have been tricky to get to in the winter if icy or snowy conditions without the right vehicle. Lots of curvy VA roads and a slightly steep driveway (I have seen steeper in WV and NC!). That would be something to consider in the winter months, but this was the most perfect time with leaves changing colors and the cool mountain temperatures. Lots of activities to keep one busy nearby!I would highly recommend this property.
