Many other dining options are in town within 1-5 miles. Local live theater is very active throughout the year. The local aquatics center, the wave, is first class for exercise and water enjoyment. The local bowling alley is a great place for all ages and you can always catch a movie at the cinema at the mall.
If you are a summertime guest: a stroll or bike ride to city beach in the morning is a must... You will want to have a swim or enjoy paddle-boarding or kayaking. Then, perhaps, a game of golf at famous whitefish golf course, our municipal course featuring 36 holes on 2 courses! For another day, try a gondola ride up the mountain and then a hike down! There are bike trails through-out the town and area. Fishing, boating, rafting are all easily accessible and there is a water park just 10 miles away for the children.
Less than an hour away is glacier national park which is open from around June 15-sept.15 each year. This world wonder must not be missed and can be enjoyed in a day trip or over and over for a life-time!

We are world travelers who appreciate the unique vacation package that whitefish has to offer year-around. When not in residence here, we spend time in bozeman and in New Zealand....More of the 'last best places' on earth.
Stuart Vidanage purchased this House in 2012
Why Stuart Vidanage chose Whitefish
As native Montanans, we have vacationed in Whitefish since the 1950's and watched it develop into the world-class destination it is today. How lucky we are to have a home here to share with others!
What makes this House unique
The unique benefit of this destination is that it is world class but in a small town where convenience to everything and the friendliness of the locals makes it just that much better.

An exceptional property with all of the comforts of home!
We had an amazing stay at the home. Furnishings and overall decor were very well done and we immediately felt at home here. Linda was gracious and even offered to purchase groceries for us since we were coming in very late at night. We will absolutely be hoping to stay here again when returning to Whitefish!
Thank You for the stay and for enjoying our home in Montana! Please do come back again!
The house served our purpose well
Overall the experience was good.....however I am not impressed with whoever did the cleaning before we arrived. The floors were very dirty.
We paid a cleaning fee and I assume the renters before us did as well...
We tried to contact the property manager on three different occasions and we never heard back from her.
I am pleased the house served your purpose. To respond to your comments, the carpet was cleaned just before your stay and I know it was in pristine condition on your arrival. I note that you had early arrival time of 2:30 which I had forgotten about and therefore, the floors did not get that last sweep after my repair session in the house. However, they had been washed as usual after last guest and were perfect before my few steps in and out. I had left you with both my own phone number and the Property Manager's. I did not receive any call from you and I was only blocks away and would have responded immediately. My Property Manager had some time off since I was so available as back-up. I apologize for your inconvenience and do hope you would consider staying again.
Great Family Home
We had such a nice summer (about 5 weeks) staying whitefish in this beautiful home. The house was perfect, clean and near by all the great spots in whitefish! We hope to go back soon!
Thank You so much for taking the time to write a review. We enjoyed hosting you and hope you decide to come back in summer 2018!
Lovely home, great location!
We enjoyed our brief stay here. The house had everything we needed and the backyard was great! The location can't be beat, especially for skiing in winter!
So, we welcome you back anytime for a longer stay, maybe for a winter holiday! Also, please note the shoulder season rates are very economical and Autumn is beautiful here in Whitefish. Until next time...
Great place for a family vacation
The house was more than adequate, very comfortable, and a great setting for our Christmas vacation. The property was clean and well maintained. We shopped for food locally and ate all of our meals at the house. It was also very close to the town of Whitefish as well as the ski resort.
Perfect for a group of adults
The kitchen is nice sized as is the dinning room table. The living room has space for all of us to comfortably enjoy a movie. The open concept is great for enjoying one another's company
Whitefish is a charming western town with a full range of summer and winter recreational opportunities, all within minutes of the airport and train station. The setting is idyllic with Whitefish Lake just a stroll away and the view of forested Big Mountain dominating the view. The aspen and pine grove visible from our windows is a 60 acre wildlife reserve, where you may site deer, elk, coyote, lion, moose, and bear. The entrance to world-famous glacier national park is only 45 min.Drive. Here you will have the opportunity to see wild animals and nature at its best. Flathead lake is also nearby as are many other small lakes and rivers.
