Perfect stay for skiing. Yes-previous reviews are correct, it’s noisy. But it’s clean, easy to get to. There’s a nice walk through woods if you like that sort of thing. Needs a second coffee cup and a set of wine glasses, but no real complaints about our stay. Would stay again!
We stayed one night, the location was perfect for our travel. There is interstate close by, ear plugs are provided. This is pet friendly and we slept comfortably. Would stay again in future. We did eat dinner in Idaho Springs which was just few miles away, didn't see as many food options in Dumont.
I’m from Colorado and have officially found a hidden gem along I-70. We stayed in the Railway cabin and they’re very well maintained. And a comfy bed to boot?! Never happens! It’s a simple set up, but has everything you need for a perfect glamping getaway. We’ll definitely be back and I highly recommend it for anyone trying to escape the city life. We brought our toddler and dog and they both had the best time. Gorgeous property, very helpful staff :) :) Thank you for the great stay!

It’s right off of I 70 and the traffic noise was very loud. Even with windows closed. No air conditioning, and break dust comes in through the window when sleeping. There was also a dead rat right outside of our cabin.

Hi Alison, Thank you for your feedback. Since we are a couple hundred yards from the highway and separated by a river and trees, it is unlikely that dust from the roadway could come in through your window. More likely, if it was windy, there could have been dust due to the fact that we are in a wooded area. Additionally, since we do not have rats on our property, you likely encountered an unfortunate wild woodland animal. Thank you for letting us know, had you brought this up during your stay, we would have sent our maintenance staff remove it. We will inform our staff of your issues and work to maintain/improve this for the comfort of future guests. Thank you for staying with us!
