Whether you're sipping your morning coffee or unwinding in the hot tub after a day of hiking, the porch provides a peaceful spot to take in the surrounding nature. For outdoor cooking enthusiasts, the cabin also features a grill, ideal for preparing delicious meals while surrounded by the beauty of the woods. If you're in the mood for a little friendly competition or just want to relax, the cabin comes complete with a variety of games to enjoy. From classic board games to puzzles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in your downtime.

– Bedroom 1 - Queen size bed

– Bedroom 2 - Full Size Bunk Beds & Trundle Bed (the bunk bed can only have one person on top and up to 2 can be on the bottom bunk and another 2 on the trundle)

- 1 full bath

- Fully-equipped kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, and coffee maker

- Living and Dining areas with plenty of seating

- Woodburning stove to stay warm on chilly nights (don’t worry we also have baseboard heat and AC)

Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!

Bring your furry friends! We love hosting families and well-behaved dogs! For allergy and maintenance reasons, we’re unfortunately unable to host cats.



Great Cacapon, located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia, offers plenty of outdoor activities and attractions for visitors looking to enjoy nature, relaxation, and local culture.



1. Cacapon Resort State Park (distance from house - 15-20 minutes): Enjoy Hiking, Fishing, Golf and Swimming. Several trails, including the Cacapon Mountain Trail, offer great views and varying levels of difficulty. The park is also home to an 18-hole golf course and a swimming pool to enjoy during winter months.



2. The Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad (distance from house - 30 minutes): Take a scenic train ride through the Potomac Valley, known for its breathtaking views of the river, mountains, and wildlife (including bald eagles). It's a fun and relaxing way to explore the area.



3. Berkeley Springs State Park (distance from house - 30 minutes): Famous for its natural hot springs, and you can enjoy them at the state park's bathhouse. The town has historic buildings, such as George Washington's Bathhouse, and a charming main street for browsing art galleries, shops, and restaurants.



4. Morgan's Grove Park (distance from house - 30 minutes): Picnicking and Outdoor Recreation: A lovely park with picnic tables, sports fields, and trails for walking.

The Appalachian Trail (distance from house - 45 minutes): If you’re into longer hikes or day trips, you can visit parts of the Appalachian Trail, which is accessible from various points in the region. Harpers Ferry National Historical Park is a great entry point and offers beautiful hiking opportunities.



6. Harpers Ferry National Historical Park (distance from house - 50 minutes): Explore the historic town of Harpers Ferry, where John Brown’s raid took place in 1859.
