We enjoyed our stay in this sweet farmhouse. The kitchen is well supplied as well as the rest of the house. We spent a lot of time sitting out on the porch enjoying the view. It was the perfect short but sweet get away to visit with local family. Angie was very easy to work with and always promptly responded.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful house on the water! The view was absolutely stunning—perfect for morning coffee and evening sunsets. The home was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. There was plenty of space for our group, and the layout made it easy to enjoy both indoor and outdoor time. Communication with the host was clear and friendly, and we felt very welcomed. We’ll definitely be booking again in the future—highly recommend this peaceful getaway spot!

We enjoyed our stay. Especially, the visiting dog Dolly. There was an osprey nest in the back yard. Loved visiting the dock.The rental fee was affordable. I will definitely be returning. I will bring a hairdryer next time.The house was still in the renovation process, Once completed it will be beautiful.

What a fantastic place to stay. Our family stayed here three weeks. The home was clean and accurately represented in the listing. The location was perfect between our kids who live in base housing and access to the beach. We loved having the wraparound deck and enjoying long mornings sipping on coffee. We cooked a majority of our meals and the kitchen was well stocked with needed utensils. We had many wonderful family dinners around the large dining table.We 100% plan to visit again next summer and want to stay at the same place. Angie, the host was really easy to work with and super sweet. Highly recommend this place for your stay!!

Upon arriving at the house, there appeared to have been a lot of remodeling projects ongoing throughout the home. There was pet dust on some of the beds and clutter in common spaces such as cupboards and closets. The home was adequately appointed though more bedding/ blankets might make it more enjoyable for guests in-order to feel more comfortable. The site lists that there are games available but a deck of cards doesnt seem they were very sparsely supplied

Some information about Sneads Ferry, particularly regarding its unique character and the location of "The Shore Thing."

Sneads Ferry is a charming fishing village, and while its population has grown since the early 2000s, it has largely maintained its quaint atmosphere. The local economy is still heavily reliant on the seafood industry, which is central to the village's identity.

"The Shore Thing" is conveniently located just off Fulchers Landing, A road that runs alongside the riverfront. The "Landing" has a dry stack, public boat ramp and leads you to the famous Riverview Cafe and local fish houses where you can get fresh seafood.
I hope this gives you a better understanding of Sneads Ferry and the surroundings of "The Shore Thing." Please let me know if you have any other questions.

What makes this property unique

The property spans two lots: one where the house is located, and an adjoining lot situated on Fannie Creek. Fannie Creek is a small bay off the New River, nestled between Davis Seafood and Mitchell Seafood (right beside Millis Seafood).

The house is on a private road, and the neighbors are very friendly. There's even a neighborhood dog, Dolly, who might stop by to say hello during her walks if you invite her!
