Welcome to The Beach House in Puerto Jimenez, Costa Rica on the Osa Peninsula which is one of the most bio-diverse places on the planet. With nature all around the area boasts a wealth of wild life. The Beach House is located in front of a calm swimming beach about a 15 min walk from town. The house makes a great base to explore the area and enjoy surfing, fishing, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding or just simply relaxing. With the town so close you can walk to local restaurants, bank, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. The Beach house is in the jungle with regular guests including iguanas, squirrels, a variety of birds such as the tiger heron (Bob the bird), toucans, a gang of macaws, green parrots, parakeets plus the occasional monkey
The perfect, private beach front home base the whole family can enjoy under one roof. Great for big groups 8 +. For smaller groups as well , who want space, there is a room for everyone. 4 rooms with air condition and 6 beds total. Open air loft with addtional single beds. Wifi, hot water and a/c, kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella and coolers available. The Beach House is ideally suited for groups and families looking for an out of town experience while still being close to the action. Amenities include hot water, a/c, WiFi and on-site management to help you with whatever you need to have a pleasant stay.

Bel emplacement, même si elle a un certain charme, cette maison est vieillotte, la climatisation dans les chambres du haut fait un bruit assourdissant, des ampoules dans la salle de bain proches du pommeau de douche, l’eau chaude brûlante et jamais du même côté, une de mes amies s’est brûlée. Great location. Nice & Spacious property but could be better maintained for the price point.

I booked this home for a family trip and unfortunately was unable to travel last minute due to a medical condition. However, my husband, daughter along with several other family members (7 adults & 4 kids total) were able to travel to Costa Rica and enjoyed several days at this home. According to my husband and his family the house was located in a good area and was a short driving distance away from restaurant and grocery locations. The house was very spacious and filled with all of the appliances and amenities needed. The one complaint from each of the adults was that the house and appliances (kitchen supplies, AC, etc. ) were a bit dingy, outdated and unkempt due to what appeared to be lack of consistent cleaning and maintenance. This house served its purpose but could be better maintained in their opinion, especially when considering the price point. Overall they were satisfied but were left a little underwhelmed upon experiencing the house in person.

Wow! , experience of a lifetime

Maria the host of the property is so kind and thoughtful and her experience of the area provides a unique insiders look into Puerto Jimenez. The property looks out on the beach and morning arrives with Parrots in the trees outside and it starts early as the sun comes up at 5am. The property is close to everything , restaurants, airport, beaches, fishing, hiking, horseback riding. We picked up items at the grocery store in town which made it so relaxing, buy the way ask Maria for her coffee, see has a relationship with one of the oldest coffee growers and brings it in every week to Puerto Jimenez. You will not be disappointed, excellent in every way .

We stayed at the Beach House for a month. Maria was very helpful and accommodating. I would describe the Beach House as a great place for backpackers or large groups of young people. It was not the homey environment we were hoping for.

Loved this place!

The house is immaculate and the hardwood is simply stunning. It's got a great view of the beach and Maria is amazing. I planned on a short stay but quickly extended it. You really feel like home here and if you want to stay connected, the internet is blazing fast.

Real Deal Paradise

This was my favorite vacation possibly ever. Maria is an incredible host and the beach house is amazing. More space than you know what to do with, house is well equipped and beautifully furnished. The view of the ocean in the front yard was my favorite thing to stare at, day and night. Everything we needed was a "No problem" response from Maria as she leaped up to make it happen. Her on-site management skills were perfection. It's a sleepy little beach town with cute little restaurants and shops, a very relaxed vibe about it. Chill and awesome time to be had by all. I could not recommend this more for your next vacation. We went dolphin watching, fishing and bike riding all over. Plenty to do and plenty to not do as well, if you need some relax time, this is your spot. The Beach House is the unknown paradise we are all looking for.

Why they chose this property

My parents fell in love with the property right on the beach and close enough to town it was perfect. My family has been vacationing in this area since. Fishing and surfing is what my family loves to do so this a great home base for us.

What makes this property unique

The views of the Gulfo Dulce and the mountains that fade into Panama. Views from the house are priceless.
