The Osa Peninsula is teeming with exotic monkeys, birds, and wildlife.

Jennifer and her large family were great! They relaxed at house mostly and saw more wildlife than they did on tours. This is what they wrote in our guest book "We had a great time, it is such a magical house and rainforest. The surrounding jungle and wildlife is breathtaking. It was so much fun for all of us waking up to panoramic views of forest and pacific ocean. WE loved seeing the toucans, macaws, long billed mot mots, 3 types of monkeys and kinkajoues at night, Thank yoi for a splendid vaction, we all enjoy your home very much.! "

Todd, Cody and their family were truly a pleasure. They drove in late after dark, found the lights, fans and internet and were amazed at their sunrise view in the am. They enjoyed photography of wildlife, night tours and the open air home atmosphere. They especially enjoyed the living room, bedroom 360 degree views and the pool. They also enjoyed spa services we offer, 4 massages, not "messages" , and Ceragem thermal therapy massage table. I recommend to everyone who suffers from chronic back and neck pain. Guests had wonderful time seeing monkeys, wild turkey, iguanas and the experience of living in open air home. They left house very clean but unfortunately allowed Kids to be pool with sand from beach and mud from spa, Which cause me to drain pool and clean out filters. Future guests should use water spickets and outdoor shower to rinse after beach and ušing blue Clay from River or spa. Overall, I think they enjoy thier stay. Guests can see iguanas, Jesús christ lizards and tree frogs in lower level of home near pool. Hummingbirds and toucans fly through home as well, most guess throughly enjoy experience, others expect bug free vacations in Rain Forest which is true mostly. People seem to fear Nature when in fact Nature should be embraced

You all have a great appreciate for adventure and intricasies of nature surrounding me. It was fun to hear kids- grandkids in pool and laughter all day. Yes, my homes are definately Walt disney inspired. Im glad you enjoyed tours and beach recommendations and well see you all next year.

Blair, his wife and kids had a blast, enjoyed crystal clear swimming pool at house and in the rainforest. They enjoyed all the tours I recommended, fishing, kayaking, night tours and cacao tour with Osa Cacao Chocolate Factory in neighborhood. They were perfect guests and they enjoyed all the monkeys, toucans, kinkajos, agoutis, charangas, occasionally wild turkeys and other critters that passed by near the house. Living in nature under the protection of a cool artistic house should be experienced by everyone. 5 to 7 days is enough time to get accustomed to living in the forest and when you leave, the forest lives in you. Stephen, I cannot be held responsible for public utility services going out 4-5 times per day. Guest showed up with two extra persons without paying and expected extra beds. Cordero family broke into staff laundry room, and owner personal closet - used all the extra 'changeover' sheets and towels during their short 4 day stay. 8 children with blow dryers & curling irons on New Years, yes, power went out and was re established within minutes. I switched fuse breaker the next day, guest had hot water and electricity their entire stay and only missed 1/2 day without hot water. I addition, guest broke the stove -appliances, left house a mess, dishes in sink and beach towels missing. The Cordero family left house a mess and mentioned nothing about their dissatisfaction during their stay. Why did they choose to complain 1 week later versus speak to me on site ? I attend to guests needs if they tell me what their needs are. It's a shame that one '3 day' - discounted short stay - rental guests spoils an almost flawless review - reputation on line. What I offer is unique and private. I am not a hotel, and don't offer daily cleaning services. They were expecting a resort style atmosphere. Regardless of what you read from MR. Cordero, I attend to my guests needs. Great vacations start with great communication when you rent with me. Feliz Ano ! Michael

Hola Meryl & Ian Thanks so much for taking time to write such a nice review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for feedback on the lower 2 bedrooms. These 2 bedrooms are where the kids and singles generally stay. We are changing the set up so that there are more options for couples besides one king bed on the first floor (there currently can be as many as 4 kings in the entire house- one is on the first level). So we are adding a queen and another double in the larger room. But when we do have couples, the king bed is great! And now couples will have a queen rather than a double in the other room. We are also adding another shower and bathroom for holidays 2016. We'd love to have you another time- We have a nice discount for return guests! It's too bad that this guest didn't mention that they were offered a less than weekly rental at a MUCH lower rate. Since we were closed & they asked for only 5 days, we agreed that they could stay for a far lower rate. The rate was IMPOSSIBLE to find in even a low cost eco lodge! Please don't let their review tarnish your consideration of our beautiful home which is, as they mentioned, a great location! And yes we do still have the same excellent caretakers for your comfort.The furniture they complained about has been replaced with new custom made, exotic & COMFORTABLE furniture! Wonderfully much cooler elevated above the Gulf with sweet views of the Golfo Dulce (sweet gulf). Your rental with us helps support local education projects at the private school in town (we sponsor 2 kids there and no they are not our own kids!). If you want to not only stay at a great place with new updates, but also be able to help us support local education, then come stay with us for the vacation of a lifetime! These guests didn't mention that we were closed during the time they insisted on staying & we given LARGE discounts . See our other reviews before you make a decision! Oven, microwave, blender, refrigerator, freezer, and all the appliances we tell you we have- every single one was tested to find the "many appliances which do not work" and every one works perfectly. We have never had complaints such as this in 11 years of rentals and were disappointed that they chose to not mention that they were given VERY large discounts & insisted on staying during a time we were closed!. Shame, shame! You'll have to come see for yourselves how fun & beautiful a home & location we have here. You'll love it! We host weddings, family reunions, workshops & retreats for art, families & couples on vacation & have not had complaints. I guess every now & then someone needs to vent! Pura Vida! & hope to see ya!
