Home away from home

We were in the area for a work project and had an excellent experience – the accommodations were fabulous, and the property was beautiful – very clean and felt like a home away from home.

Upon arrival the house was hot at 78 degrees the trash is outside front door around corner and was overflowing and stunk. There was food left in the fridge. Hot tub was dirty and couldn’t be used. host sent a cleaning lady over to clean and add chemicals but we weren’t able to use it as we were scared the chemicals were not right cuz she didn’t have shock to apply. Then we tried to run the dishwasher on our way out and it also didn’t work. It’s clear they knew there was a problem with the ac as there were 4 phone numbers on the side of the fridge. The host refunded us 400 which they didn’t have to do. we chose this place because of the amenities and paid in full months before arrival. So it was definitely the right thing to do as one of the bedrooms couldn’t even open the windows in the heat because the trashcan is right outside of it. We had to smell it every time we walked in the front door. I feel like if you’re paying 1600 for a weekend for a spot none of those things should’ve been a problem. They knew the AC was out and acted like they didn’t. There was also a teapot full of chunky water. It was a beautiful place. They just need to do some maintenance and upkeep.
