We truly enjoyed our stay! We would certainly do it again. Thank you Suzanne for finding and returning Perry, the platypus! Our daughter was happy to have him back.

Highly recommend it.

Excellent choice

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Tucson and our 8 day adventure in the airstream. As we were contemplating buying a travel trailer this gave us an opportunity to experience this type of accommodation firsthand. The airstream was well equipped and comfortable with everything you needed at hand and everything worked as it was supposed to. The bed was super comfortable. Bathroom had good storage - could use a little more floor space but still functioned well. The setting was superb with bright morning sunrises and spectacular sunsets and very private. Patio was very nice to sit out on in shade. Location was very central and in area of fine homes. We had no real issues and Suzanne was quick to respond if you had any questions. We would highly recommend this unique retreat!

Cool desert retreat!

  • 5 of 5

I spent one week in Susanne's super awesome airstream trailer and had an excellent holiday as a result!

The trailer is obviously a compact space, but it was perfect for me. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom was small but adequate and in both there were no issues with respect to hot or cold water supply. The queen bed was really comfortable and I enjoyed waking to the sun rising and birds chirping. It was unusually hot whe I was there in March, however the air conditioning did the job quite nicely (and I didn't even really need it much) , plus once night came , the temperatures cooled down to quite a comfortable level

The best thing about the trailer is that it is your own private space, surrounded by beautiful desert landscape, with a lovely area to sit outside. I can't say enough abouthow relaxing and peaceful it was to sit outside and enjoy watching the birds, or at night, the starry sky Also, The location in the Catalina Foothills was perfect and made getting around very easy.

I did a lot of hiking during my trip and can highly recommend the Hike to Wassan Peak in Saguaro NP West, the Cactus Forest trails in Saguaro NP East, the hike to the seven falls in Sabine Canyon and the Kent and Bog Springs trail loop in Madeira Canyon south on Tucson

For good eats, I enjoyed Prep and Pastry, the Baja Cafe, Bread and Beyond, Union Pub, the Cup Cafe in the Cogress Hotel, Charro Steak, the little Cafe Poca Cosa, and Guerro Canelo

There are so many more trails I would like to hike and many restaurants I did not get to try. As a result I am already thinking of a return to Tucson next winter and I sure do hope to stay in my cool desert retreat in Susanne's airstream trailer!

As advertised, the trailer was quiet, peaceful and isolated,

We saw no one in our 3 day stay, even though we were in a residential suburb. The trailer was fun but not for the claustrophobic.Sunrise and sunset were delightful.

Peaceful Getaway for Couples

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here at the end of February 2017. Neither of us had ever stayed in an airstream before. I'm so glad we decided to do something different. The property was really peaceful and quiet. For the five (5) days we were there, we only saw one other person briefly. Other than the sound of birds and the occasional critter munching on cactus, we heard nothing. The weather was mid-60's and sunny. Being from Seattle, it felt very warm and was perfect for a nap outside the trailer in the very comfortable lounge chairs. When it was chilly at night, we snuggled around the little outside adobe fireplace, which smelled fantastic. There was plenty of dry wood around to fill it up every night for hours. The trailer was very clean and had plenty of space for two. The tv worked great and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen was fine for cooking and storing food. It had everything you need. I highly recommend this vacation for a romantic getaway.
