Beautiful, clean property with amazing views and daily visits from elk.

I would come back to this property and highly recommend it to anyone staying in the Gardiner area. We loved touring the parks and surrounding area but looked forward to returning to the house to relax on the deck, by the river, or the comfort of either of the two living/sitting rooms. We traveled from PA and my husband remarked that the bed at this house was by far the most comfortable. Our grandkids accompanied us and they both loved the house too. They, along with their parents, spent one day at the house playing games and enjoying the edge of the river watching rafts go by. I hope to get to return to this wonderful property one day. Thanks for allowing us to rent your wonderful property and it was very nice chatting with you. The Himmelreich’s

This is an amazing property! If you are looking for a spacious home with amazing views, look no further. The house is large, clean, and right on the RIVER. My family of 6 spent one week here and loved it! The home is well stocked with everything you could ever want or need. They even have a lovely selection of books about the Yellowstone and Montana areas. The large yard is frequented by elk and the river corridor provided lots of opportunities to do some bird watching. We spent our days hiking and exploring Yellowstone. In the afternoons and evenings we hung out and enjoyed the river/mountain views from the lovely deck, cooked dinner, used the BBQ, played in the yard, and relaxed in the hammock. Lori, is a very friendly, helpful host. It was a pleasure to meet her. Our flight was delayed and we arrived later than expected. Lori left the lights on and Aubree gave us detailed instructions to help us navigate to the property. We all had a wonderful time here at this home, made lots of happy memories, and hope to return in the future. Thank you Aubree and Lori!

Yellowstone Gem

  • 5 of 5

This place made our Yellowstone holiday unforgettable. Perfect location with fishing from the river behind the property and only 5 mins to town and park gate. Took us less than an hour to get to Lamar valley which we saw at dawn and dusk! We wouldn’t have missed the TV except it was World Cup week so we caught a game at the IronHorse Grill which was fantastic. Try the Bison burger or Elk Meatloaf. Another highlight was whitewater rafting we did with Flying Pig, and horse riding through Specimen Creek Outfitters. We didn’t want to leave and would love to go back one day...

Perfect week in Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

Location, location, location! This property has it all! We spent a week in late June here, and traveled into Yellowstone National Park every morning and enjoyed the quiet and comfort of the home each evening. 5 minutes to the North Entrance of the park, 3 minutes to a nice grocery store in Gardiner, and 3 minutes to many restaurants, bars, gift shops, and all the amenities that Gardiner has to offer makes this location great. The view from the backyard of the national park across the Yellowstone River was outstanding, and we were in awe of our surroundings the entire week. The Yellowstone River was quite high due to snow run-off, so we weren't able to fish or even wade in the water, but I am pretty sure we just hit it at the wrong time. Several rafters cruised by, but were by no means obtrusive. Kitchen was well furnished, laundry was easy, and there was plenty of space for 4 adults and 3 kids to spread out. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone venturing out to Yellowstone.

As a side note, we spent one day driving to and back from Grand Teton National Park -- it's quite a long drive through Yellowstone National Park; about 3.5 hours one way. If we had to do it over, we might spend a day or two in Jackson to fully explore that area separately.

Thank you, Lori for opening your home! We had a wonderful trip, which was made better by having such a great place to stay. We loved the privacy and being on the water. The location was perfect...out of town, but close to the park gate and everything we needed!

The house is the perfect place to set up as base camp for your Yellowstone adventure. We had 4 couples and more than enough room to relax at the end of the day. The kitchen is great for evening meals and big breakfasts. We couldn't get enough of the back porch every evening star gazing. When we return to Yellowstone we will definitely stay here. One of the best experiences ever!

The home is perfectly situated for immediately enjoying all the activities that the Greater Yellowstone Area has to offer.

Fly fish: Fish directly from our backyard.

Hiking: Thousands of acres of US Forest Service land are just adjacent to our property, or you can explore Yellowstone National Park.

Hunting: Miles of game country nearby.

Horseback Riding: Bring your horse! Your pony can stay in our 60 by 80 ft corral ($10 per horse per day). Please note: feed and supplies are not supplied. Guided horseback rides with one of the several companies are also a fun way to explore the area.

Rafting: Grab an inner tube and jump in the river right out of our backyard or wave at the house as you float by on a guided raft trip.

Swimming: Not for the faint of heart… Brrr! For those wanting to splash about and seriously cool off, there is a good hole in the river at McConnel Landing, a seven minute walk up the Yellowstone River.

Shopping: A short 5 minute drive brings you to downtown Gardiner with its Old West shops, restaurants, grocery, and fuel.

Visiting Yellowstone: Enter the North Entrance of Yellowstone Park through the historic Roosevelt Arch, just minutes by car in downtown Gardiner.
