The beds were comfortable. The new HVAC system only worked the first day. We woke up to a temperature of 78 the next day. Communication with the owner was good until this last problem. Due to no air conditioning, we chose to sit on the screen porch around 1030pm. One of our 2 puppies suddenly became limp. He was moaning and his tongue was hanging out of his mouth. Off to the emergency vet we went at almost midnight. After being examined by the the vet they determined that he had been exposed to an opioid. They gave him a shot of narcan and he immediately responded. He had to stay overnight until 830am the next morning. This cost us1500. The host stopped responding after I told him what happened. We had inspected the porch during the daytime. We did not see anything that would hurt the puppies. And we do not use opioids or any other drugs. Also the neighborhood was not very safe.
