Family vacation

Reasonably priced for the area and it’s just a short walk to the beach. There was plenty of space for everyone.

Great Communication & Home

This house was perfect for my family! Our host, David, was quick to answer any questions and helped us out when there was an issue with the bathroom. The walk to the beach was easy, everything was clean, and enough cookware for larger parties. I would easily stay here again!!

Great location!

Wonderful home with beautiful marsh views and across the street from the ocean. Very quiet section of the island; between North Topsail and Surf City. Beautifully remodeled home had plenty of space. 4 Bedrooms and 3 baths plus with extra sleeping areas and an outdoor shower.

A nice beach getaway.

We really enjoyed the outside deck with the view of the waterway. There was plenty of seating for our group of six. The walk to the beach was very manageable. We had looked forward to using the outside shower, but there was no hot water in it. Inside there was plenty of room for us to spread out, and we appreciated the size and appearance of the kitchen. I had hoped to cook more, but the cooking supplies were not adequate. It needs more pots, pans, baking dishes, and measuring cups. There were none.

Convenient and roomy but not very clean

The property was an easy walk across the street to the beach with access to a very pretty, not super crowded space on the sand. The house had plenty of room but was not especially clean. The refrigerator was very dirty, the shower and curtain in the bathrooms were molded, there was a lot of dust, and windows didn’t appear to have been cleaned in a while. The furnishings and decor were very dated and the house smelled strongly of moth balls. There was a dirty dog kennel downstairs and a rusty grill that was not clean enough to use downstairs as well. This could be a great home but needs a lot of TLC.

Great place for a girls weekend away

We had a great girls weekend away. The house was in a great quiet location with close beach access. You’re close enough to town but far enough away for some peace and quiet.

Family Getaway

We were a family of 11 on our annual vacation to the ocean. This house was perfect!! Plenty of space for everyone. The layout of the house was great and the kitchen ended being our favorite gathering space. Everyone of our family members felt comfortable here. The master bedroom was a dream! I slept the best I have in years. Thank you for that. We spent many happy hours during our stay between the house and the beach. It was only a couple minutes walk. Which was nothing. The view from the deck was lovely. A perfect place to sit and find peace. My only comment to future renters is the kitchen was a bit tough to find things you may need to cook a meal, as we are avid food and kitchen connoisseurs. My adult daughter wanted to mention that the knives were extremely dull. Overall, great place to stay. We would definitely love to return.

Updated large home

This is a very beautiful, modern and clean beach house. This house has all the amenities you could possibly ask for!! Everything was supplied, all we had to buy was food. A very convenient 5 minute walk to the beach!! Would love to book this beach house again,.. Maybe from now on when visiting Top Sail ❤🥰

Beautiful views

We stayed here for a family trip with 7 adults and 2 kids. We had plenty of room. The porch is great. Views of water from both upstairs bedrooms were nice. Farther walk to the beach than we anticipated, there’s no direct access and you have to walk a good way to the public access. Not a bad walk but challenging with small kids or older adults. Overall we loved the house and would rent again.

Return visit

Returned to this wonderful home for a reprise family get together and once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Since our visit last Labor Day weekend the home has been renovated( hit by hurricane a week after we last stayed!) and extras added including another shower and additional bedroom. David is a wonderful host and made sure everything was in perfect order for us. We will definitely return!

Amazing place

This was by far the best vacation rental I have used. Exactly like it's description and pictures. Very spacious, clean and had absolutely everything you would need!! Anyone thinking about renting this property will not be disappointed!

Very disappointed

Wasn’t at all what we were expecting in reading the description of the house. House wasn’t very clean, the water in master bath didn’t get hot at all and I had a 3 yr old so showers were difficult. The bathroom upstairs, the toilet ran constantly and the tub didn’t drain at all while taking a shower. Very unsatisfied with the amount that was spent on the house. While there one of the keys came off my key ring (totally my fault) but when I called the owner he was very rude even after apologizing numerous times. Would not recommend to anyone.

Fabulous family vacation

Stayed at this wonderful home with our 4 adult children, spouses and granddaughter and LOVED IT!!! The house was spacious, clean and comfortable with everything we needed already there(linens,towels,TP, paper towels etc ) The owner, David, was great to work with and very promptly answered all questions I had. There were no problems at all during our stay! The beach is just across the street a short walk away. Will definitely return!!!

Very good house very close to beach

The house is very large with more than enough beds for a large party of four adults and four children (aged 4-10). The house is maybe a 5 minute very easy walk to the beach. Everything worked great (we did have a minor plumbing issue and the owner was very responsive in telling me how to fix it. He also was willing to send a plumber out ASAP if the fix didn't work.) Great wrap around deck. Downsides: no wi-fi and spotty service on T-Mobile (ATT worked fine). Lots of very dull knives (no sharpener that I could find). No dishwasher. Not walking distance to restaurants or markets. As noted, an easy walk to the beach--but not on the beach. Bottom line: I would rent this house again.

A Real Home Away From Home

My family and I rented this home for a long weekend. We came from different parts of the country and used David’s home as a place for us to get together. First, the pictures do not give it justice. The deck was a great place for all of us to hang out and enjoy the ocean breeze in the evening after a long hot day on the beach. Second, when your here you honestly feel like your in a family home. There is plenty of room for everyone! We didn’t feel cramped and the beds are comfortable. Everything you need for your stay is provided. Major plus was the outdoor shower and the hammock. We definitely will be back!

Nice place to stay!

House is in great location, easy access to the beach, furnishing and appliances are outdated but in good working conditions. Over all is a nice place to stay.
