We were very pleased that there was a manager on the premises 24 hours a day. Elizabeth, in particular, was especially helpful and attentive. They responded to our needs promptly. Check-in was a breeze, and baggage carts are available at no charge for moving all of your belongings in one trip. On-site security is provided. We were immediately impressed with our condo, especially the view. We ate breakfast on the balcony every morning. The furnishings were modern and comfortable, there was plenty of closet and drawer space, and more than enough of full-size bath towels. The bathroom, although small, was clean, and the shower was good and strong. Although there is a cover for one (and a hole in the wall for one), there is no exhaust fan. We mentioned this to management. One light fixture did not work, and maintenance was unable to repair it during our stay. But there was plenty of other light, so it was not missed. Top-notch TVs in the living room and the bedroom. The living room featured a DVD player with a number of DVDs, and there were several books on the shelf. The kitchen was fully-stocked with glassware, flatware, and dishes, along with a coffeemaker, toaster, and microwave, along with stainless appliances. Tucked away in a closet were an ironing board and iron. The bedroom, although not especially spacious, was comfortable. Island Winds East could not be more centrally located. There were shops and restaurants within walking distance. (We strongly recommend The Steamer Baked Oyster Bar, Fisher's (for fine dining), and the Original Oyster House.) And there were a number of attractions within driving distance that we took advantage of, including the Pensacola Naval Air Station Museum of Aviation, the Gulf Coast Zoo, and the USS Alabama. The private beach was terrific. A swimming pool and two barbeque grills were also on site.
The stay was great, rooms were nice, and was a dope location; however, book straight thru Brett Robinson or something, don't use vrbo, they'll charge you an extra $62 and not tell you they are going to.. I wouldn't have minded if they told me, but now, forget them!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed are stay in room 806....I only give a good rating because their was too much construction at this site...cement dust all over the balcony during our stay, espically the last 2 weeks of our stay was not very welcomed by us during this period. The condo was well decorated and maintained...Cable TV was excellent and the viewing was awesome for the both of us....I would highly recommend this for seniors.
The condo was well decorated and maintained. Great location and beautiful view of the beach. Easy walking to restaurants. We spent a lot of time on the balcony when it was too hot or too windy to be on the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals. We had breakfast and lunch at the condo and went out to eat for dinner.
The only negative I can think of was some basics were not there (Kleenex, extra TP, dishwashing liquid, coffee filters).
The property itself was also well maintained . The common areas and pool were clean.
